Ruins Exits don't work Thailand wii

I am in the upper ruins.( I am using a Wii version.) I have killed the tiger on the ledge and the tiger in the ruins. I can't exit through any of the holes in the wall. Reading a guide for wii it said to use a stone block for a boost and grab the band on the dark wall to get to hallway. I've tried EVERY possible jump/grab-but I can only get on the block-she won't grab anything. Is there another way to get inland or a known bug?
