Default Hope you've been keeping up with Nicobass

This guy is simply amazing. It all strated with his recreations of the classic Eidos promotional materials from back in the TR1 and TR2 days, updating those primitive character models with todays modern polygon power and all the other polish.

And from there his Deviant Art gallery has grown to include his own original compositions and designs. And some of you who love the classic outfit and braid will be very happy with what he's done.

I'm sure many of you have bookmarked his page, but for those who haven't, or just fell behind on his works, I just had to bring to all your attention this latest original creation. I am really digging this look for Lara, the long overcoat really suits her well, plus I simply LOVE the hair rendering - the way the pony tail flows behind Lara is some of the best hair work I'v seen and is just so alive. Here's a resized preview, but go to his site for the full size (and uncropped) render.

He just gets better and better. Also of note is Lara strolling the Great Wall in Classic outfit, the perspective shot of her holding the gun to the camera and a torch in the other hand, busting out of the shower in a robe, the recreation of the classic red leopard print dress... and so much more

Yeah, his work is absolutely stunning! And I agree he gets better and better, each new render I just find so unbelievably good. The rendering on the hair above is amazing, perfect really. Haha, and love Lara Croft 67, locking Winston in the freezer. My other favs include 68, 66, Lara Croft vs raptors, 13, 18and 23.

Why do I foresee a spike in the sales of long overcoats now?

Is this really the Nicobass? I gotta say, you are the BEST Lara Artist out there, no contest. Your work is impreccable, and you cover the full gamut of her beauty, styles and eras.

I'm not sure if anyone saw this in the general fan art thread, but I made a desktop wallpaper from some of your collected works, that I'm sharing for anobody to download and use for their own screens.

1920x1080 for widescreen monitors

1600x1200 for standard format

Why would it be someone else?

He, I didn't know you use DAZ Studio for your renders.

I love that picture with the long coat, her look reminds of those 'tough as balls' chicks from Western movies. All she needs is a horse and a shotgun.

Thanks for posting this, AdobeArtist.

Fabulous work, Nicobass, and interesting to see a glimpse of the tools that you use. Please forgive the skepticism, but it is conceivable that someone with less than honourable intentions might have seen an opportunity and registered to use your good name to exploit the members here.

Oh WOW guys, you have got to see THIS latest render. The most gorgeous background and how Lara is really IN the scene, with the incredible lighting, that also adds so much emotion and ambience to the piece. This is his masterpiece
