This article on IGN tells, from their point of view, what Smallville has gotten wrong, or where it has gone wrong, as it's went along. One of the points is no Batman, and they explained it was because WB didn't want Batman on the show while Bale was playing him in the movies, to confuse people. The same argument was made for other A list DC heroes, like Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. However, neither are in the movies right now (GL won't be debuting until after Smallville ends). Tomorrow, they are going to have a list of what Smallville got right.

Honestly, I got a bit disinterested before Lex even left the show, but I agree that his leaving and the whole Lana drawn-out-to-insanity melodrama of her and Clark was getting very tiresome... I loved the first couple of seasons.

This had already been discussed on here before...They couldn't due batman because they sold the tv rights to nbc who wanted to have a batman show..this has since been resolved and wb bought the rights back but its a little late to introduce batman now..

On to the good stuff....SEASON 10 TODAY!!!!! BAM said the lady!

um who are you to say what people can and can't discuss, if they want to talk about it and feel it is a worthy topic to discuss then let them, that's what forums are for.

they all ready introduced most of clarks rouges galley and now darkseid before he's even become superman so i guess there wouldn't be harm in adding batman to the mix.

Without following things in Smallville (I'd have to go back to somewhere around Season 6, or 7 first), I can almost guarantee that Supe's won't don the uniform until near the end of the season, or the very last episode Yes, they will milk it for all its worth. God, they've milked it for 9 YEARS already... One more full year to go

And Hylden I saw your link....Ign is still not accurate on that. It's just what "They feel was done wrong in smallville." Miles the original creator/writer stated the wb rights etc.

Now back to topic...Who freaking liked that episode...I wasn't a big fan of the lex clone. Also the scene with Johnathan was weird. Maybe better plugged when clark was dead?...Kinda like the comics? What are your guys thoughts.

It was stated in the beginning that the dark force (Darkseid) feeds on people's tortured souls. Clark had just read the letter of Lois going to Africa so it could've been Darkseid's influence on Clark that made him see his father because after Jonathan said what he needed to say he disappeared and Darkseid manifested on top of the building where the Book of Rao was.

i wasn't being rude, some people don't have the time to look through 12 pages to find their answer, and there are some people and newcomers that haven't been on this thread to see it, so of course their are going to be people that ask questions, why not answer it for them since you seem well informed, rather than telling them "its already been discussed" so please "don't be rude about it"

To whoever mentioned darkside...yes I think that had a bit to do with the lex deal...I hope Mike comes back...for more than just one episode.
