hi guys, i want to make this thread full of everybodys ideas of new bat-gadgets and takedowns and hopefully Eidos will put it in a DLC my ideas are:
Explosive Batarangs- batarangs coated in explosive gel Tackle Takedown -like a glide kick but goes head first knocking enemies to the ground Swing Kick- swings from 1 gargoyle kicking a henchman and still zipping up to a gargoyle Smoke Capsules -to make a distraction and fight with detective vision or escape BATbatarangs- a batarang the emmits a high pitched sound to attract a swarm of bats to daze and confuse enemies Kidnap- swing from a gargoyle a pick up a enemy and take them to the gargoyle and do as you please, push them off, hang them upside down, cover them in explosive gel and wait for the suicide collar and another baddy comes over and KABOOM list some of your favorite takedowns and bat-gadgets you think should be in the game Last edited by The-Knight-Of-The-Night; 10-03-2009 at 09:04 AM. |

Please, Eidos, let all future DLC be for all regions and consoles. I promise, if you do this, the next time the generation leaps, I will go the Playstation route.

Those are Brilliant Ideas, I love the Bat- Batarang Idea!
I'd like to be able to move unconscious henchmen, drag them into vents and stuff...that's all i can think of right now. What about...The cryo-capsules i've seen Batman Use in 'The Batman', freeze people over :P Be a bit gimmicky though,

I'd be happy with a gas mask. It would come in handy for all the joker toxic gas.

grate takedowns
midflight grapple a larger cape smoke capsules could be with the stun move for a "dracula" effect a "response" button: "who are you" :hit L3: "I AM BATMAN!"... Or just say the line whenever you invert takedown someone! the ability to change the detective mode colors (hold scan) bat bolas that can be upgraded w. smoke noise generator (like the sonic batarang, but more local. Basically a snap bag) flash batarang (stuns the enemy for a bit to escape) ball bearings ( make them trip, upgarded with the smoke bombs) gag items bat on a a string (mess with them, can attatch to the line launcher for fun) face mask (like Batman Begins' scarecrow halucenation, causes terefied eenmies to K.O. themself) bat snacks

Wow, all these ideas are great! ^.^
But, the problem is, if they give him too much, then Batman will be too...powerful in the next game. Not too mention all the buttons that'll have to be used to select each one, so, what about when you're in the Batcave, you can customise your utility belt (For the next mission, or just any time if it's free roam). Of course, some gadgets would always be on you (Grappling hook, Bat-a-Rang) What do you guys think?

great ideas guys i love the customise utility belt idea, but Suma a gas mask would really jut be a downer i would ruin all the fun of trying to turn the fans on. The game definitly needs a response button for silent knight predator play. Great Ideas guys keep them coming

yep, i have also thought often about moving unconscious henchmen.
sometimes it takes so much time to "place" them in the right spot^^ also some more real "stealth" tactics, like smoke capsules or acting out of the shadows like someone said in another thread. |

Moving bodies for sure.
If an enemy is on a carpet you can pull the carpet out from under his feet to stun him. Instead of having to pop out of a grate to get someone you just bash it up into their knees and pull them under. The Batmobile. Silent takedowns that don't take so long. |

The ability to use the Batclaw on gargoyles
Use the Batclaw to pull enemies guns off them, meaning they'll have to go fetch there gun, could be used as a good lure tactic. Instead of just explosive Bat-a-Rangs, too make them less Over Powered, to make them you have to spray a Bat-a-rang with explosive gel first. Swimming - With a water take down (Batman could have a Mini-oxygen supply so he can stay underwater for a while) IE. Your in a pool and a guard is walking past the edge, you reach out and pull him under, then when he's unconscious you throw him out again. Ugh, that's all I can think off for now...

Wow nice ideas and when i thought of the explosive Batarangs i thought of covered in explosive gel but yeh im loving all the ideas everyone is posting we need more

Great ideas.
I don't see these ideas in a DLC but in a future Batman videogame because Rocksteady will have to redesign and analyze everything in the game to include all these changes. It's a really big challenge for Rocksteady (or anybody else) to make another Batman video game (AA2 or whatever) better than AA but I'm sure they have the talent to make it and I hope they're reading these suggestions.

Boom!

you know something as simple as using the bat claw on the gargoyles should have been done in the first place.
i dont see logical reasons as to why we cant.

Really great ideas you have here. I hope they could work on this. I don't really have my own ideas for now but yours is great.

Environmental takedowns would be nice. Like punching a thug, then grabbing his head and smashing him face first into a wall. Would have been awesome.

Acid Gel to compliment the Explosive Gel. Instead of exploding it burns, melting a hole in a wall.
Like if theres a destructable wall and a goon is on the otherside, you could spray Explosive Gel to blow them up noisily, or spray Acid Gel, burn a hole in the wall silently, then pull the thug through the hole for a silent takedown. |
