I assume you are using Vista? Or trying to play on a Laptop? In both cases you just have to deactivate the power saving function of your device.
If you are Vista User you should read and follow this guide: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/ Should you be trying to play the game on a Laptop and power saving function triggers - then read the following guide: http://technicallyeasy.net/2007/09/v...ings-increase/ For Windows XP this guide might be of help: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...02march25.mspx |

Just to make sure that it is indeed not the power saving - goto Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options and recheck Balanced, Power saver and High performance settings. If you cant see anything suspicous there click on Change advanced power settings. Work your way through all the tabs in the advanced settings and look for something that could set parts of your system into sleep mode. Harddisk could be one of those settings as well as Sleep > Allow hybrid sleep. Check all the Power saving profiles and their respective settings you can find in this advanced tab.
If it really wasnt the power saving options then it could also be hibernation mode. You can deactivate it by opening a command prompt window in elevated mode > type the command powercfg -h off press enter and close the window. You eventually have to reboot your pc for the change to take effect. The only other thing that i could think of would be your BIOS settings. Check them as well. If it turns out that all these settings are ok and not causing your problem i really cant help you. |

What do you mean downloaded? From Steam, Direct2Drive, etc.? Or from "the other way"? (a.k.a pirated copy).
As pirates aren't allowed here and you wont be getting any support either.
