Why wouldn't the patch that you download from the game work? I would suggest you try that instead

my xlive is real slow, it took 3 hours to get to 2%..... its been like it since i installed xlive..

The update via live is the `official` route to take for installing it. That is how i would advise anyone to get the update, rather then a 3rd party source. Cannot be guarenteed if get from somewhere else am afraid

hi guys. i'm obviously new here but been lurking for a while now .
can't wait till I put my fingers on BAT:AA, but since I live in EU, gonna have to wait 3 more days

anyways.... i really hope patch will be released under "downloads" link on the official page because i can't download it from GFWL since my country isn't supported

I've downloaded the one from 2shared.com sero34 provided but i would ( and i think everyone thinks the same ) rather download it from a reliable page such as this.

so eidos please do the logical thing and stick it on the front page with big flashy letters blinking "dl patchzor here nao" , oh and please do it fast because we don't want to wait any day longer then we already have

Like Noblees said. I want to play the game ASAP and not wait to get a patch downloaded after I get the game.
Or will it be on the UK pc release from the beginning?

If you can't give a link can you tell us the exact procedure how we get the patch once we have the game please. Thanks

Log in to Live and the patch will download. There is no other (official) way.

Yes but can you be a bit more detailed please. This is the first game that I've had for GFWL

I logged in via the GFWL launcher today and saw nothing new for BAA. I can't get the game until Friday when it's out here.

I assume when I install the game BAA will show up in a menu and there will be a link for it there then.
Is that correct?

It's certainly not as if Eidos could provide us with the MD5 hash of the file/s so people can check the integrity of anything they get from another source and guarantee it's the same file

When you launch the game it will require you to set up a Live profile first or/if you already have one, to register the product key that came with the game. When you do this it will inform you about a product update and it will download it.

They do not "need" it, but you should install it anyway for various reasons (future patches might require it)

I had to use the above link just to launch the game thanks to suckurom launcher failing. Once I ran the above patch all was well. I know that it's difficult to account for everyone's individual computer setup but this was a pretty poor launch for such a great game. It will forever be imprinted on my brain to dislike securom whether it's legit or not. Either the securom devs need to work on their piss poor software or the game devs need to shop for something more reliable.

This is one of the most FUBAR'd launches I've ever seen. I'm shocked there's not more about it on gaming and review sites. The GFWL issue, the Gordon Glitch, the piracy measures appearing in legit games. WTF.

I don't think most of you understand that if you are experiencing this problem you CANT get the official patch from Games For Windows Live patching system. The game crashes immediately after clicking on the icon. No start up panels, no log in screens, the first think you see is a dialog box telling you "Can't initialise NVIDIA PhysX. Please install the latest NVIDIA PhysX system software" (yes the misspelling is in the dialog)

I already have the latest video drivers installed. I already have the latest PhysX system installed. I have rebooted (many times)

Dismiss that dialog and I am greeted by another dialog that reveals that some component somewhere in the startup process is calling a pure virtual function. For non-software types out there, that is a program execution command call that doesn't actually exist. That should N E V E R happen.

Extremely frustrated customer atm!!
