Default Why is that option?

Batman Can hang up side down. But why?
He can grab enemy even when he isn't hang. So? What a point of that?

Only reason for that is that he can there fall in that place?

You can drop down directly below the gargoyle after hanging down. Or you can do the Inverted Takedown after you unlock it.

To drop down right there, I would presume.

Also, the 'coolness' factor.

To instill fear. To strike like a a predator from above, thus taking the guy out with total surprised goodness. It is fun to do to. The first thing I upgraded was the "inverted takedown move".

What I have found out is by lowering myself I had a larger window to perform the inverted takedown. I always do that now to prevent me just hammering the takedown button, and even then at one time I still didn't perform it.
