Thief is my favorite game series. But real Thief 3 for me is Deadly Shadows with elements of Minimalist Project. I think that this project makes Thief 3 to be part of Thief Series. I don't understand why in thief 3 the health bar is hide and it appear only in battle and why the weapons and tools aren't in their normal places like in previous thief games. I like the main title screen, Thief 3 fonts and blue screens. I like subtitles feature. I like dagger but I think that in Thief 4 can have dagger and sword. Because these weapons aren't equal. For me Thief 4 should be mixture between Thief 1 / 2 and Thief 3. In Thief 4 should be a training mission and I have some (may be) stupid ideas:
- In first room Garret should make a path in a metal surface with moss arrows and then move quiet to the next room. (I thing that in Thief 4 can be backward "green guards" like in Thief 1) - In next room Garret should use an Invisible potion and go through "green guard". After that he should blackjack him and get him clothes. - In next room Garret should be dressed as a guard and he should speak with guard to open a door with secret code. - In next room Garret should practice his abilities with fire arrows - he should hit chests and boxes. - Next room is a training yard and there are all kinds of enemies - Like in Thief 1 - 3. And Garret should kill them by various ways. May be in Thief 4 Garret should can use hammer too. And in training mission Garret can have special practice with hammer as a weapon. I believe in Thief 4. And Thi4f is good and original logo too. I like it. I am very curious about new ideas about thief 4 first mission (training). If someone have more ideas or information about Thief 4 Training mission can share (if want that) in this thread. And is there be a training mission in Thief 4? or not? Thank you and grееtings. |

Nice ideas, I praticulary like the idea of reintroducing people to the games with a challenging tutorial level (and maybe like Thief DP, this can be optional to the storyline, but with bonuses if undertaken such as the extra loot taken into the Bafford Level).
Im not sure about the Tutorial level forcing the player to attempt combat. I feel that combat is optional and dependant on the player. Maybe the tutorial should focus on human dummies in this regard. I think there is alot of potential for a tutorial in Thief 4 to teach people the various techniques that have been perfected by Thief fans over the years that the developers may not have originally intended (assuming that they are carried forward and not deleted). For example, the forward lean technique, opening doors with bottles, the crouched drop down to avoid noise etc, little things that make life easier for all thoose sneaksies out there. Good ideas mate! |
