So does Mirror's Edge. I remember it had a big launch, but the lack of mods screwed its longevity.

Guys, no game company, except Epic Games or other sympathetic companies, will release modding kits.

I'm pretty sure Eidos isn't on the same line with Epic Games in terms of kindness.

Anyway, my plans now = play through the game, then play challenges, get bored in 3 months, 50 dollars well worth. OR, if there are mods, I'd prolly play for 1 year.

epic games and kindness? yeah, apparently you don't play gears of war 2.

anyway, this game is based on UE3 so the only SDK is the unreal editor but since each game based on UE3 has customized engines and the upks are locked so the editor can't edit things nothing can be done through the editor.

But if someone could figure out where the files are and a way to extract them (which is easy as hell actually) and repack them with a new skin, then it would work. it's the repacking thats a problem.

not to mention i think all the textures for the suit are in a 1GB file that you wouldn't want to unpack.

I am sure someone will figure it out. I do wish it were possible to extract textures from the packages TexMod then builds, as I was trying to make a Very High version of the World's Finest Batman suit I made to upload that, along with the Medium/High one I originally did... Unfortunately, I forgot some of the files are linked between Medium/High and Very High and I extracted the pattern and bump map textures over the others... Basically, sorry dudes and possible dudettes, but I will have to get back to this to make a Very High version when I have a few hours to waste... I don't right now. But, here's finally the Medium/High version to download, if anyone wishes. I should have uploaded this weeks ago.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/rl9oww

I wish TexMod could at least have either a back-up system for when its human user has a brain cramp, or maybe you could upload the package, and then extract the textures from the new package once you run the game... Something to do over potential mistakes like the above... Ah well...

Mirror's Edge is still a little moddable.
You can create original maps, and change the texture of Faith. (exactly like with batman)

Which is why BAA will die as ME (Mirror's Edge & Mass Effect = dead games b/c no mods, notice the initials are the same, lolz? coincidence? naw). A fast, painful, modless DEATH. But, BAA will not die as fast b/c the fighting + animation is too wicked to let go. That's the only thing that gives the game some extra life compared to ME.

Ah, the intials are important... Batman: Arkham Asylum (BAA) = sheep, therefore mods.

Simple logic.

But still, anyone read my previous post?

I don't know if anyone here already noticed, theres a folder called "Packages" in the "BmGame/CookedPC" folder. In there you could see 6 folders they are "characters","Dialogue","Frontend","FX","SoundFMOD" and "Tape". The interesting folder would be "Characters" because of its contents. It has a few files called "BatmanDamage1_SF.upk" until "BatmanDamage9_SF.upk".

I wonder if the game engine use this as its character model? I hope this helps with the modding. I also seem to remember in "Transformers Revenge of The Fallen" PC game, there is also a folder called "Character". You can basically swap the file of the robot you want to play with the preset ones. But it could be very different with B:AA.

xyver81, I think those files point out to the damage seen on the Batman's costume as the game progresses. Probably a bunch of map overlays.

Albino Croc? That sounds... awesome... *wants*

EDIT: I measured out 9ft with measuring tape on my stairs (too tall for any room!). Croc is BIG.

EDIT2: By the way, after reading the doctor's journal (Collectors Edition), I had an idea:
Bane(On Venom) v Croc... in a battle of strength. Votes! I vote Croc.

You should also try to make the Russian Batman Outfit from Superman: Red Son, but I think this one will be impossible to pull off, since he's wearing a lot of clothing...

I am Russian and that makes me laugh so hard. Good job.

A basic (probably dumb) question.

Can these be used on the full version?

If you knew it was a dumb question, why bother asking?

Well, thats a dumb question right there. I asked because I didnt really know, I needed confirmation.

Besides, the only dumb question is the one that you never ask.

So, if you are not gonna be of any help, then why not better shut up alltogether?
