Default Something is wrong DEMO PC

Well my pc is
AMD 3800+ (2.4GHz)
1.5GB RAM DDR (400MHz)
8600GTS 256 RAM 128 bits
Clock 675MHz 1458 Shader Clock 2000MHz Memory

I install the demo whit the 190.38 nvidia drivers and get the message "Your NVIDIA Graphic Driver is not up to date bla bla bla bla" but 190.38 is the new one....so i put the settings to

1024x768
NO AA
PhysX - OFF
Ambient Occlusion - OFF
Detail Level - HIGH
Everything else - ON

I star the game and get and 15-20 FPS in the first fighting room.....ok then i change my settings to.

640x480
NO AA
PhysX - OFF
Ambient Occlusion - OFF
Detail Level - LOW
Everything else - OFF

Star and get the 15-25 FPS.....

So i go back to 186.18 nvidia drivers and still get the message "Your NVIDIA Graphic Driver is not up to date bla bla bla bla", i do the same steps whit the settings and is the same result 15-25 FPS, what is going on???

i did the Resident Evil 5 Benchmark whit 1024x768 no AA Everything else - HIGH and get a average of 37 FPS, why im getting so low fps on batman ??

Try turning off Motion Blur. Also, I would suggest getting faster/more ram. 800mhz at least, if your mobo can't handle 1066+

Are you running XP, we've noticed that on XP it always advises your drivers not the latest even if they are.

OP you have a single core cpu so lowering the res way down and turning off many graphical features isnt going to give you a big framerate boost.

Yes, im on XP Pro.

So i guess this is a no go for me. Not even at minimum settings can get good frames too bad, i really like this game.

yeah I cant believe they list the min for this game as a 3500 A64 and an Nvidia 6600. that would be a really pathetic experience even on all low. the game is perfectly playable on med or even high settings at 1024x768 on the 8600gt if you have more modern dual core cpu. I just played through the demo on an 8600gt and 4200 X2 and wasnt bad at all.

AMD 4200 X2 at stock 2.2
8600gt at stock 540/1188/1400 core/shaders/memory
2gb system ram
Vista 32bit

using your game settings:
1024x768
NO AA
PhysX - OFF
Ambient Occlusion - OFF
Detail Level - HIGH
Everything else - ON

avg 32 fps during the fight scenes. lowest framerate was 25 fps. see how important a decent dual core cpu is even with a low end card? your 8600gts paired with a single core cpu will lose out badly in most modern games compared to a slower 8600gt and dual core cpu. of course a pc like in my sig or better is really where its at if you want to play newer games at decent settings and resolutions.

also I dont know how you could possibly get 37 fps for an "average" in the RE 5 bench. I just ran it on the 8600gt and 4200 X2 and in the RE 5 fixed benchmark got 19.7 fps at 1024x768 on high settings with motion blur off and no AA. your cpu alone would give a slightly worse result then I got too.

EDIT: on the RE variable bench I got:
44.5 fps area 1
31.7 fps area 2
30.1 fps area 3
32.6 fps area 4

area 1 on the variable bench would have been the only possible chance you could have of getting 37 fps in RE 5

When you installed the demo, did you see the system check before installation, and if so, did it say that one of your components failed to meet spec?

I did get 37 fps, well 36.3, here is a screenshot

Motion Blur - OFF
AA - OFF
Everything else - HIGH

Fail on CPU, system requirements says 3.0GHz and my CPU is 2.4GHz, but i remember reading that a AMD 3800+ is equal to a Intel 3.2GHz or something like that.

Still i think this game really need a Dual Core, i dont know why the but the system requirements

• CPU: Intel single core 3 Ghz or AMD equivalent
• Memory: XP = 1 GB
• GPU: Shader Model 3 NVidia 6600 or ATI 1300 or higher

I think is not possible to play whit that.

My PC is an AMD Athlon64 4000+ but the cpu speed is only 2412 MHz. (system Check Results=Failed)
nVidia 8800GTS = shader model 3 320Mb (Passed)
System Mem = 2Gb (Passed)

Because of the CPU I only get around 10-15fps.

Check this link for AMD core speeds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...icroprocessors

You'll have to have at least an Athlon 64 X2 3600+ to meet min spec for CPU.

Yea and my socket is 939, i search on ebay for some dual core socket 939 and they are really expensive compare to a AM2 socket.

Try running at 640 x 480 in Window or create a custom resolution smaller to run at fullscreen.

Those are the minimum system requirements, the recommended are:

Quote:

RAM: 2GB for Windows XP / 3GB for Windows Vista / Windows 7
GRAPHICS: nVidia 9800GTX or ATI 3870
SOUND: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 compatible sound card (100% DirectX 9.0c -compatible)
DVD-ROM: Quad-speed (4x) DVD-ROM drive
HARD DRIVE: 9GB free disk space
INPUT DEVICES: 100% Windows XP/Vista/7 compatible mouse and keyboard / Xbox 360 Controller for Windows

I did whit all on the lowest possible and still get like 20 fps in the first room, come on not even in 640 x 480 cant get good frames, thats sucks...

I play fallout 3 whit 1024x768 no AA and the other settings on high and get arround 30-35 fps average whit the same pc, i play gears of war max settings, street fighter max settings, unreal tournament 3 at max too and never get problems whit the games, but this game.... i just dont get it.
