By the way, I messed with Cheat Engine a little (on PC version of course) and I managed to get to the 2nd level (in XP, not like a map). Even a prompt appeared that I can upgrade, but when I press the button it tells me, it just takes me to biographies screen. A shame, it seems to be hardcoded in the demo so you can't upgrade.

Even though I actually enabled the statistics screen in the ini file, I still can't do anything.

I feel making high combos (12-18) with few enemies a bit unrealistic: I prefer a shorter fight with pathos rather than a long "planned" fight; even if it is not as rewarding.

Well, I hereby officially 100% retire from my battle with door noob. I either got a fluke or mis-read, because I cannot get 18 on the second wave after hours of trying today. I only got 17 a couple of times. I am getting way too serious, which may effect my enjoyment of the full game. I sense a "Why so serious" line coming.

Still, I have picked up very useful skills so the learning curve of the full game should be less steep and more enjoyable. I guess I have you to thank for that door noob.

I am aswell steping down until a new threat emerges, and I would also thank you for prompting me to be able to do this. The actual game will be more rewarding with the skills we have both gathered. I really hope to see you on the leaderboards for this game. Good-bye until then :P

Managed to get 2180. Getting better with freeform. Still having trouble with the third 'wave' of thugs.

1st Wave: 13x (7var)
2nd Wave: 18x (7var)
3rd Wave: 10x (7var) *Processing Corridor*
Both Riddler Trophies
All Armed Gaurds
And ALL Joker Teeth (Thnx to door noob)

Tip: I'll let you guys in on a little theory of mine. The thugs with the vests on can take more hits than the ones without vests. This really helps prioritize the strikes during the combo. Maybe door noob and icematt12 can help me confirm this?
Also I estimated that at least +20pts extra can be earned above my current high score.

My highest score so far has been 2470. I was only able to achieve this once I realized Batman could throw batarangs behind his back in free flow. The highest combo I've been able to achieve is 15. I can't imagine how to stretch it to 17...

What's the big deal about score anyways? It doesn't help you out with anything, it's just experience that you've earned throughout the game...

It helps you out plenty in the main game, unlocking gadgets, new abilities in FreeFlow combat, new takedowns in SilentPredator, etc... Though in the demo provided this thread to challenge one another to gain a better score than another person.

But in the last room I like to take out the guards in many different ways, and right before I knock out the last guard I "Restart from Last Checkpoint" and do it over again... and again... Man I want this game.

Aren't gadgets picked up from the batmobile and the batcave only? New abilities for combat I can understand, but gadgets doesn't make sense. If it does help unlock those the XP level won't be set too high then.

Yes and no, some are upgradable with the XP points you have learned, and also gadgets that already picked up can be upgrade I.E, the bat-claw could be upgraded to fire up to 3 string, thus in freeflow could utilise a move on 3 guys at the same time.

I think in one clip he said the Explosive Gel is in the the back of the Batmobile.

I don't believe that those with tops have more health, it's more to do with the attacks that you do

I can take them down with 3 strikes if I wanted to.

I am slightly torn now. Just playing randomly I managed to get a 18 hit combo again on the second wave but maybe only a 6 variation.

All I can say is if you're getting 18x (6 var) you should maybe use the takedown around 14x and then save the G.takedown for the end.
