It means that the cyclic redundancy check of the file has failed. Meaning, the file is not an exact copy of the original, meaning a tcp packet has been corrupted during the transfer, meaning entire file/some files inside are unusable.
Please delete and re-download. |

PhysX is not only hardware (Built into GeForce graphics cards or via a dedicated Ageia card), but it's a software runtime as well. In other words, games can utilize PhysX even if they can't be accelerated by (or the user doesn't have) PhysX based hardware. Clive Barkers: Jericho is an example of a game that utilizes PhysX but doesn't use PhysX hardware for acceleration. Even though you're running an ATI card, you'll still need the latest PhysX software from nvidia. You can find that here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0428_whql.html Back on topic: As already mentioned, a CRC error occurs when when the copy of a file (or files) you have doesn't match the original. This is usually determined by a checksum value on the copied file not matching the original, thus leading to the error you're seeing. As already stated, deleting the setup file and redownloading should fix the issue. It may also be a good idea to turn off any "download accelerators" or processes that employ real-time file scanning as either of these may be corrupting the download. |

I downloaded it twice off this site with the same exact error. Then i downloaded off of the Nvidia web page with the error again...
During the install (unpacking) it keeps telling me about a "CRC failed in BmGame.u" "The file "???" header is corrupt"... Last edited by Rusty_Trojan; 08-23-2009 at 04:59 PM. |

i seem have to have found out why the error was there... My Virus Protection (KASPERSKY) was screwing it up. So i turned it off and it downloaded successfully.
But now i have a completely different problem, i cannot install or uninstall! The game thinks it is already installed and the only option is to hit play but then an error pops up about missing files. There was no Eidos folder made and the game is not on my computer... HELP! How do i get this game to think its never been installed? Ive gone through the registry and deleted all the associated files but it still doesnt want to un/install... |

Just perform the following instructions to resolve this issue. 1. Click on start -> run -> under the Run command box type regedit and hit enter. 2. The windows registry program will appear. 3. First take a back-up of the registry to be on the safer side. Under the windows registry window click on File --> Export --> give it a name and save it on the desktop. 4. Now click on Edit --> Find --> under the find what box type batman and hit enter. 5. Delete all the entries that shows up as a result. 6. After deleting all the entries close the window. Now open the autorun window and guess what, the install option would be enabled. |
