I think that one will work. It's a user on GameFAQ's saying that the/a Target near him has implied another delay is coming (in a way).

I was just wanting to share this with all of you, particularly the mods, because the last time I didn't believe a delay, it was pushed almost into another season. I don't believe this is true, accurate, or whatever, but still...

I trust the Aug. 25 date wholeheartedly. This is only one Target, and the manager or an employee could have received some bad info. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance.

Once I get a mods' answer, or enough reinforcement, I will let this thread slide on down. Thank all of you for your time.

I read this earlier ... no way .... they wouldnt dare delay it again .... they would lose a lot of credibilty if they did ..... people would start to question why they need to keep fixing things

This is Target we're talking about, here. As you said, this is one Target. Think of it this way: WHY would this one target have the inside scoop on a new delay, when there has not been word one anywhere else? It makes zero sense.

My thoughts? Some idiot at this Target got the original delay confused with a new one. When they originally delayed the game, they didn't set a new date right away. Some schmuck who has a say in these things and no knowledge of games in general at Target saw an old delay post and got confuzzled, then covered his ass in the store for a possible delay.

Sounds more plausible than a Target having advanced knowledge of it.

everyone knows its not true .... someone went into target and asked a question or brought up the game and a worker said I heard it was delayed .... someone took this to mean again ..... i have no doubt in my mind that I will be playing Batman:AA on August 25th

I know maybe I was a bit rude, but come on. Why will you not buy it? Have you honestly never had a game that was delayed? I have seen several in my time and they were usually better for it. I waited much longer than this too.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver... Diablo 2... Those are two that immediately come to mind. Many a day banging my head against my desk waiting for those, I can tell you.

One reason for another delay can be blamed on M:UA 2. That, Final Fantasy Dissidia, and a bunch of other games are coming out around the same time as Batman: AA.

If there were to be another delay, holiday 2009 is the logical choice. Catch the holiday rush of parents and screaming brats and you might get lucky with more sales than in late Summer.

EDIT: In fact, Dissidia comes out on EXACTLY the same day as B:AA. :|

But Ultimate Alliance isn't till Sept 8th. At least that what I saw when I signed up to become a VIP. I thought August would be a tough month due to Madden 2010. Holiday 09 would work I guess, but Modern Warfare 2 and a bunch of other stuff are coming out as well. July would have been a good month. I think any month here on out is gonna tough.

Let's wait for a confirmation, because the user never substantiates his claims. He only tells us that someone in Target told him of a potential delay, but he never offers any proof to show us that his source is credible and, more importantly, real. For all we know, he could be a disruptive troll.

Furthermore, if this is true, I think Eidos needs to realize something: no matter how much they delay Arkham, there will always be other games coming out. By continually delaying the game, they are only ensuring that some of us cancel our pre-orders and isolate ourselves further from the community. They need to realize that their customers will only tolerate so much, especially since we know that this game is very much near completion. There will always be other games coming out.

Seriously though, why would ONE target in America know that a delay is DEFINITLY happening yet us on the games official forum don't hear ANYTHING.

And yes, I know it's probably just some poorly trained, high school dropout store manager who heard about the delay and thought it was getting delayed again.
