He does make a fair point in the review. I wouldn't want the game telling me what to do straight away. Maybe if I failed 5 times then I'd appreciate the OPTION of some help.... but I'd want to make the decision whether or not I wanted help or whether I was enjoying the challenge.

I hope during the "polishing" the designers will take note of this!

Doesn't bother me too much, I'm gonna do my best to get it right the first time by properly scouting the area, it seems like this guy was too quck and didn't think. But I't seems like in most situations the advice is generic ( use stealth ) so I'm not bothered, as long as it doesn't ruin boss fights for me I'll be fine.

I can definitely see how this would be annoying. I do like to solve my own puzzles. In the end if this does get kept in the game, I guess I'll just have to stare at the floor while choosing retry

I actually agree with him. I'd spoke out about the game solving puzzles for you before and was flamed for it. This just seems blatantly absurd and ridiculous. God of War got it right, without even really helping. If you died 15 times, they'd just say wanna try an easier setting? Not chopping the bosses head off for you or solving the puzzle.

I really honest to God hope that was an old build, even if it is the E3 build. And this is the problem with embargoes. If a critic had this strong of a thought and could only share with the masses now, then where's the effectiveness of community feedback?

Come on, Rocksteady, make the game harder in more ways than just fighting. This may be the first game, I start on hard. I susually jump right into a normal game because this way I know, I don't miss anything that I would've on easy and that it's a decent challenge. But if HARD, is the only way to turn off every clue under the sun, then so be it. I mean we already have glorified "tell us everything" 3D glasses as a standard.

I also agree with the review that the help after you die would bug me and in away kind of insult me. Also about the help after you die or can't think of a strategy, is that not why they have Strategy Guides? All that said i still think it will be a good game and I will just close my eyes if i die.

Good find. Thanks. It does suck that they give you the answer after one try.

For all we know that may already be an option...if not, oh well, we'll have to do what everyone else said and just look away

I don't see why they would put in a demo and not the game. It just would not make sense to do extra work for a demo.

Because since its might be just a demo they want players to get used to the controls. giving them hints could help so the player has a better understanding of the mission(s)

Yeah maybe but that is why games are a progression style. You just don't jump in a game and you know everything. Plus most games have the titurel level, which i prefer it to be optional. Like I said though we will just have to look away like a scary movie scene, run away!

The help dialog had nothing to do with controls they were about using your brain or not using your brain, I'm sure its in the final game but I have a good feeling that you will be able to turn it off.

Like i said a few times in many threads. I hope this game wont end up like Spider-Man:web of shadows. for ex: everyone said it would be a great game, when I got it the 1st 5min of it I hated it and it got even more crappier as i played threw the whole thing.

To be honest, I saw Web of Shadows and knew it was not for me. I pre-ordered Prototype thinking that would be good but.... some of you can finish that sentence. If Batman: AA is not what I am hoping it is, then it is sequeals for the next year! We shall see.

Most games that give you help allow you to turn it off, but I don't know if it'll let you turn it off here because this is more than a popup, it pretty much does it FOR you.

If this is the case, then this game has fallen prey to the "casual gamer" craze. Make it SUPER easy so everyone and their mother can play. :|

EDIT: Added the interview to the FAQ and added Batman The Demon Hunter's name to the credits and thanks list.

Yeah... I'd find these "helpful" hints as more a motivation to get it right the first time. Which is Batman's motto anyway!

I agree, Obviously the person that was writting the review was to much in a rush to think like the bat.

I didn't see that there was a case they could break into and get guns, so it was a combo of knives and bullets that got me.

I don't think it will be too big a deal.
Even when a game explains something there's still a lot of figuring out on the gamer's part.
