Lightbulb [Solved] Picking up and placing weights.

Was able to fix this by tweaking a little on the graphical settings.
For me, a fix presented itself when I enabled VSYNC.
After that, the game played smoothly to the end without a single annoyance occuring.
Well other than the fact that if a video plays with the Bink software, it cracks and distorts still.

Hi there,

Been playing through Tomb Raider: Underworld, and have to say I absolutely loved exploring and picking up all the Treasures and Relics on my way. On my second playthrough now on Master Survivalist to unlock the last Extras. But this time I am a bit fed up with this bug/glitch/issue I am encountering during the game.

As early as the little puzzle to open the doors to Niflheim in the beggining of the game, you encounter two switches that you need to weigh down. This is the bug/glitch/issue I am ripping my hair out over (and every time you have a similar puzzle). Picking up the two weights in the area is usually not a problem, although the bug I encounter can occur then as well, on approaching a weight or running over them. When trying to place them down however, 95% of the time.. the weight will just start flying off someplace. It seems they react with Lara's legs/feet/character model and it more often than not looks like Lara is playing soccer with the stone weights, performing the most gracious tricks.. fun once or twice, but when you are stuck for 20 minutes trying to put down two weights, it gets a bit annoying. I can't for the love of this game, understand what causes this to happen, as I've tried to find solutions or other topics/posts on the internet about other people experiencing this, but can't find a single one.

As for specs if that can help identify probable causes:

Playing Tomb Raider: Underworld on PC through Steam, using a XBOX 360 Wireless Controller. System is a Intel Pentium Quad Core overclocked at 3.87Ghz CPU, 4GB RAM, 2 ATi Radeon HD3870 x2 in CrossFireX (guess that can be seen as 4 HD3870 cards as well). Running the game with all options max at 1680x1050 resolution, except AA as I like the game visuals better without it enabled. Running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.

While I'm at it, I may also add that any time there is (what I assume) a Bink video playing, the sound acts up, with crackling and disturbing background noises. I have a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi soundcard in the system. Any ideas on this would be welcome too, but they are minimal annoyances as there are very few Bink videos in the game. Credits, Previously... and the Teaser movie only I think.. and well.. the main menu. Didn't look this up if there are tips on solving it though, mainly checked for the weights issue.

All drivers are updated btw. as of 17th of May.

Thank you for your time!
