However Mission 2 looks a bit bland (3 on the other hand looks phenomenal) and it's my opinion but I think using the original voice files from Thief games, limits very much the development of the story... But still, that's my opinion

That's because everyone who draws Garrett without his hood on is female, and female gamers entusiastic enough to make fan art generally seem to prefer guys with longer hair, so they project what they like onto the character irrationally. Even though we know what type of hair Garrett has. There are one or two pieces of evidence for Garrett having a buzz cut. There is zero evidence for him having another type of haircut. I base my version of Garrett on that evidence.

Have you guys seen these level designs for Unreat Tournament 3 maps?

They look just sooo much Thief-like. Especially if Thief is confirmed to use the Unreal Engine, these could be a nice speculation, of what the game might look like...

No offense taken When I said we don't normally see fanart of the buzzcut, I just meant we normally see him with his hood on, full stop. I've not seen much of the long hair myself. Looking forward to more of your art!

Once I was very very bored, and so, once I decided to make some thief inspired earrings out of clay.
Sadly my levitation skills aren't doing very well lately so the glyphs aren't exactly complete, they lack the little dots in the middle/top/bottom.

Though the lines are a bit uneven in thickness, they look pretty neat.

Actually I wanted them to be uneven, I just thought it has more of an old glyph feeling to it that way, kinda like you just found 'em digging up an old pagan sanctuary.

Actually, there is the introductory cutscene in Thief: The Dark Project, where he's shown as a child with medium-length hair, with sort of longish bangs.



I know what you're saying, though. And you're likely right. I don't assume he looks one way or another. (If it was up to me, I suppose I would prefer he had longish hair, not because I picture him as some pretty boy, but because he's probably just too damned lazy and unconcerned with his outward appearance to bother with shaving it off frequently.)

I certainly had this image in mind when I've seen pictures of him with longer hair. Honestly, hair grows, who cares what style he had when? I picture Garrett as someone who can't be bothered with his appearance; I can't imagine him re-buzzing it every week to keep it perfectly short. He probably waits until it starts to annoy him and then hacks it all off with a dagger or something

I liked Platinumoxicity's buzzcut Garrett because we don't see it so often, but I don't think it's unreasonable to think that his hair's not always exactly the same.

So we've argued about his hairstyle; what about eye colour? Looks brown to me from the Metal Age box art, but I'm sure there are different opinions. Come on guys! Answers on a postcard!

lol damn hit that one home. I would like to think Garrett has short hair it would'nt be appropriate if he had long hair getting in his face I mean think of his profession.

Sorry ladies but the long hair thing is deffinatly looking less and less likely.

I've already said I think it's short too. I'm just being devil's advocate... since, you know, hair grows before you cut it again, and it's funny that this shocking revelation seems tantamount to sacrilege.

There is no sacrilege here, beautiful one. All we know is that Garrett likes to keep his hair short some of the time. However, it would stand to reason that ever since Keeper training, discipline on this matter would have been ritual.
