The Riddler design for Vigilant came from my concept, but the final product was made possible by the colors and cooperation of Chris. Any resemblance to Depp is purely coincidental. I don't think that having a certain structure and style of facial hair automatically means that the design was inspired by Depp, who is not the only man in the world with that particular facial structure and style.

Also, the Riddler's cape is my favorite part of the outfit.

for some reason it looks a bit weird to me

His calves/feet look a little small for his body, and his eyes seem too high up on the face. I like the work on the arms though.

lol, thats what thought too, including the eyes.proberably cause i tried fit his legs in the page. i mean A4 paper ain't that big.

That's why it pays to sketch it as a stick figure first instead of working top to bottom.

i did sketch it out, just didnt pay enough attention on the legs and prob cause i tryed to cramp them in. eyes i screwed up cause i rubbed out the face a bit and just rushed it.

I've had that happen before. Now whenever I draw a full figure I rough in the head and feet after sketching the pose and work my way into the middle.

It's batman Perched on the edge of a building, in a slightly Primal (Is that right? sounds right in my head) Pose, Watching over gotham.

I Think it turned out alright

Well, it's not bad, SD. It's very dynamic and dramatic but let me point out some things that you may want to consider.

We know Batman fairly well. He's a logical guy, so you have to apply that logic to the design choices you make. Case in point: why would he be standing on his cape? If he has to react, he'd probably snag himself on the rise.
His legs are a bit short. Make sure you give enough length to both halves.
Lastly, while they are in the distance, perspective still applies to the skyline. That fact really separates the men from the boys in comic art. See where you are at after those adjustments. You rock, bud!

Thinking about it after i scanned it, I Really dont know why i drew him standing on it hahaha
It was probably because i drew it last, and i was a bit lazy so i just bunged it under him.
I Dont know how he'd get it there either...
I Shouldve drawn it blowing to one side...

This is one of those pieces you like at first, but then grow to dislike haha

It started as a sketch and i ended up making this, it was pretty much just some practice for a new method of shading - But ended up being a little something to submit

Anyways, Colours - I might edit these further, i'll see what you dudes think

thats hot....i see u used my buildings and my water towers that i designed on page 8 of Vindication lol....its cool though lol....anyway, he looks pretty depressed lol, but thats prolly wat u were going for anyway....he looks like he just doesnt care anymore

nice rain effect ....i see u colored Batman wit the colors im using on Vindication as well lol....prolly cause u said this pic could be the cover, so u were mayb tryin to make both of them match? idk lol....anyway, all these colors dont really match up wit each other very well (everythin looks out of place) but u said u might edit it later so, u will prolly fix wat u think needs it....the rain really makes the pic though....good job on that
