Ah, I forgot about "Manhunt". I saw a review of that once where all the reviewer did was talk about how one of the programers or artist or someone like that (I forget who and what they did on it exactly, it's been awhile) said that making that game "Made us all feel icky" or something like that. Evidently not icky enough to quit the gig, tho. $ cleanses all moral fiber filth apparantly. Must admit I've never played that one, tho not because it looks to violent or gory or I think it will make me feel icky, it just doesn't look interesting to me. Like, it looks boring and repeatative. But I've read about the story in it and how it ends, and that does sound interesting to me. Never heard about the bloke who imitated a killing from it tho. But to be fair, aren't the ways you kill people in "Manhunt" fairly "common" methods of murder? Basing that off of footage I've seen of it, mind you. If they are I'm surprised more people haven't said "That strangulation was inspired by Manhunt!" or whatever.

I want Bambi banned to. But only because I've already seen it so many times that it's actually frustrating to watch at this point. "Bambi AGAIN?! You gotta be kidding me!"

^^ I don't really understand calling the game "Manhunt" anyway. Why not call the game Murder? Or Slaughter? Really, I would've imagined a game called Manhunt to be about a man, well, being hunted. Like he robbed a bank, or something, in the beginning and had to spend the rest of the game fleeing to Mexico. Using stealth and taking out a few cops, not to mention a few car chases, the main character would have to navigate himself out of the country. An actual manhunt, not some game about brutally killing people in, like you said, ways that have already been done before.

I like Bambi.... I suppose it's because I only really watch every several years so I'm not desensitized to it, but I rather like cute little deer....

If I one day decided to kill animals, ones that are somewhat endangered, it's likely the TR franchise would end up facing the consequences.

It's like anything really, people just like to moan... For example over here, we occasionally have incidents within the media that makes about 1000 complaints... fair point, but then by the next day its gone up to about twenty-thousand complaints and when asked...
"Everyone else was complaining". Yeah, people really need to start bothering about their own lives instead.

Also, speaking of people moaning I got told off, of two people a few weeks back. One was someone who said the word should be illegal to say and one was this gay guy. Long story short, I said something along the lines of:
"Feel a bit Queer?"

I told them both to jog on, as it's a word my grandparents use and still do. It annoys me when I'm told I can't do this or that, or use a certain word because someone took it as offensive... Didums.

But, like WinterSoldier said, there shouldn't be worries, but... I bet the development team wants to see like 1000 votes for one thing, and not just about 20 (the amount of active forum members) and when I see things that just make no sense, I flip out xD
Anyways, I think when the time to show those wishes to the team comes, lots of those wishes with little votes will be erased and not shown to them, only the top 5 (safe to say xD) Just hoping a 'stupid' wish will not get a high number of votes XD

P.S. Just to make things clear, all of those wishes are good, I mean, if the team could add 'em all, it would be fine, but they wanna find out what do we wanna see, what's our priority in the gameplay. People moan that the games became 'easy' and not chalenging at all, and here they are, listening to the fans, and (just saying) if the game turns out to be something we didn't want, it's our fault, not theirs...
I agree. Development teams should listen to feedback from fans only to an certain extent and focus only on the major improvements fans want. If they listen too much then the game is going to serve to many opinions. We must remember that WE who play the games are NOT game developers. We don´t know what kind of changes it needs to get Laras hair a certain color?

I like deer as well. I lived on 60 acres in the middle of nowhere for a few years, and I constantly saw deer roaming about the back fields. It was always nice to wake up early in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and just sit on the porch and watch them do their deer thing. Beautiful creatures. And rather then hunt them like the rest of my family does, I'd much rather shoot them with a camera.

And yeah, that's EXACTLY what I pictured a game called "Manhunt" being like. I was actually kind of letdown when I saw it isn't a "Fugitive" type game at all in the reviews.

I'd LOVE to see that story on the news. I'd laugh for days. "MAN SHOOTS BALD EAGLE: Lara Croft made me do it!" Probably wouldn't make it past a 30 second bump tho. I doubt it'd be too gory or potentialy offensive to garner too much attention. Where I live, anyways. Then again, if you go after a polar bear or two...

Maybe he needs to climb buildings and shoot security guards to get longterm attention.

Hmm, do you think it's wrong to find deer cute, but still like to eat them? I don't like to go go out and shoot them, but since someone does it for me and it tastes so good, I sort of have a bit of a conflicting relationship with the animals....

The temple has been placed under round-the-clock police guard as onlookers and devotees thronged the shrine in the centre of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of southern Kerala state.

Sacks filled with diamonds were found next to tonnes of gold coins and jewellery, reports claimed, in the vaults of the 16th-century Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, the royal chapel of the former rulers of Travancore, now part of Kerala.

"The current market value of the articles found so far by the committee members would be roughly 900bn rupees[£12.5bn]," one temple official who was not authorised to speak to the media said.
That's just sick. If only Lara had found that treasure... XD

Absolutely not. They're good eating. I'm in the same boat as you: Can't stand to hunt them and love to let them be, but man it's good meat. Then again, as I said my family are hunters, so there were deer heads on the wall and stuffed quails and whatnot all over the house when I was growing up, so I may be de-sensitized from that and could be biased. But I'll never turn down a deer burger or deer chili.

@LaraLover That's awesome!

I hate when polar bears are killed and stuff, you know, people just hunt those for trophies or fat... But still, I hate when a vegeterian and animal-rights lover (call 'em that way) hate me because I eat meat or something, I mean, we are allowed to kill cows or sheeps or even deer in order to survive, you know... You gotta eat, and for that you gotta kill, BUT killing animals for other purposes besides eating them is just wrong (trophies etc.)

Yeah some people get a bit too extreme with some of that stuff, IMO. I can understand where they're coming from, don't get me wrong, but those people that throw red paint on someone wearing a FAKE fur coat and yelling "FUR IS MURDER!!" then run away, for example, is a bit too much for me. I think if any of them actually spent time on a farm and saw firsthand how good cattle and whatnot are raised and tended to they'd probably ease up a bit. But there's always someone that's too extreme within any given belief or lifestyle. I've got a couple of vegan friends, and I'm not gonna lie, I love going to their house for diner. Some of that stuffs actually pretty tasty.

Believe me I wouldn't be surprised.

As for animal hunting I really don't mind it, although I suppose when its for solely trophies then yes, I guess I gain a problem. Otherwise I really don't mind. Although saying that I do like my leather jackets.

On a completely different note:

I did the Euromillions lottery for the first time ever... and won £2.50.. I would have preferred the jackpot of 159 million (or whatever it was), although no one won it again and therefore goes up to something like 166 million on Friday... considering I got my ticket money back (£2) I might as well put it back on.

Whether they're wearing fake fur or not, it's still obnoxious and illegal. I really don't like those types of people. They're ridiculously irritating and they are not doing a single thing that will get me to agree with them. So long as nothing's being poached, then people should have a right to hunt, or use animals for fur. Animals are damn good eating and there really isn't much anyone can do to convince me otherwise.

I generally get annoyed and have a go at anyone who is in my face about something, typically stuff that I deem private or that try and force their opinion on me. It's like peer pressure. I've often had arguments that I think peer pressure really isn't existent if you have morals... as I never once did anything "cause everyone else is", mainly as I've always had a brain I guess.

It's like these religious, Jehovah witnesses that occasionally harass you: they don't bugger off. But I've seen some cracking responses off people:
One approached me and said "do you believe in the after-life?" to which I replied "Not really", then he said "Don't you think it'll be great to be reunited with your family after you die?" and I replied with the only smart ass answer I could: "Not really, they do my head in now, never mind after I'm dead".

Or as I've heard a few people state. "I'm gay". That is the greatest reply ever and end their argument stone dead.!

But on another note, I am going to take it upon myself to find new mates that don't drink, instead are more than happy to go down the pub without drinking. Just for the company of my mates in a place that's got no bloody whinging children.

Completely random post out of the way.

Yay, my latest buy has arrived

He's a Buddha from Burma in Mandalay Style. He was made out of wood and lacquer in the 19th or 20th century.

I'm so happy

+ I just found out one of my works will be displayed in a museum

@JRod LoL sorry. If it makes you feel any better about 10 minutes or so after I posted that here I had to fix something to eat myself.

@LaraLover That's a beut, mate! How tall? And congrats on the museum spot!

@Antz I'm with ya on the leather jacket thing. I personaly don't feel dressed unless I've got a couple of cows on my back.

And...

@Antz & D1n0 When I quit drinking years ago it got to the point where I couldn't be around my friends anymore. If they weren't drinking, then they were talking about drinking. It was too much for me at the time, so I had to say "Goodbye" to them. Best descision I ever made, friends-wise. It was pretty hard finding a few people my age (I was 23 at the time) that didn't drink. I thought: "Well, it's not like I can go to a bar and meet people", but like all of my friends, some just kind of ventured into my life one day. Don't beat yourselves up or feel alone, they'll come along. And congrats on choosing not to drink. It was a helluva temptaion when I was your ages and I don't know what it's like to be your ages in todays global society, but it can't be any less luring now I'd imagine. Very cool, guys.

I had some Jehovah Witness guys that came by a few years back. Not unusual where I live, but these guys were young. Like 18 or 19 young. Anyways, I let them come inside once when it was hotter then a bugger out, and out of the (and this is no kidding) 3 hours they were at my house, we only talked religion for MAYBE 5 minutes. The rest of the time they were walking around looking at my musical memorabillia and CD and LP library. Turns out they were both big into The Misfits and Iron Maiden as well as a few other metal bands, so we mainly shot the breeze about them, and actually ended up watching part of a Dream Theater dvd with them. Cool dudes. They never did invite me to any of their gatherings, but everytime they were going door-to-door in town they'd always pop by and talk metal with me for a bit. Haven't seen them for a couple years tho. After they stopped coming by it was always an older guy who constantly gave me the evil eye. I can only assume that those dudes had told him about our "metal meetings" and he wasn't happy with me for it.

@WinterSoldier, thanks, man, glad to hear that ^^ Yeah, it was kinda rough, you know, my friends used to tease me, like: "Oh, you're such a coward, what? You're afraid your parents will find out?" and they didn't realise it was MY decision not to drink... But, primitive as they are, they continued. That was, like 2 years ago, and now I'm having no problems with that, they know that I don't drink and they respect that ^^ But still, I hate to see them drinking and thinking it's cool, but what the heck, it's their choice The most disappointing thing of all is that, I had 2 or 3 friends that were non-drinkers, but recently they started too and it's kinda lame.
Ah, sorry for my rambling, my mind slipped off XD
And dude, those Jehovah witnesses seem pretty cool, haha Nothing better than to meet people who like the stuff you do ^^ Beware of that old guy, to them, we are the generation of apocalypse

Oh, no, I wasn't mad at you. Heh, heh.... Have you ever seen Gilmore Girls? Probably not, if you're a guy, but there's a character on that show who's a pretty bad ranter. Whenever another character brings up a subject that he's angry and/or irritated about, he'll rant about it. He'll sound so mad, but he isn't mad at the person, but the subject that person brought up. I'm actually a lot like that. I wasn't irritated with you, but the subject of overly concerned animal lovers, lol.

Ah! I like just about all the bands that you mentioned. Except for The Misfits, I don't think I've ever been exposed to them. Lol, I may be eighteen, but I love bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns 'N Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Motley Crue and Pat Benatar. All those old bands. Nothings better than those classics.

I'm not too bad, I've got mates that respect my choices as well as a few that don't drink. And my problem isn't temptation as I'm never known to be swayed by their 'pressure' to get me to drink... believe me they've tried. I'm quite stubborn in the sense that I don't do anything because everyone else wants me to. The same logic is applied to the idea that if people don't want me doing something I will do it, providing I want to do it. To be honest I've always been the same growing up, as I've always seemed to know what I want, socially not really career wise.

But yeah. I'm sort of looking for more to do socially that doesn't involve drinking myself silly, or drinking at all for that matter.

Why do you have a problem seeing people drinking?

I don't know, I just do. Not everyone, just my close friends... Because at least once they try to talk me into drinking and I don't like that xD I mean, their idea of fun is getting drunk and not remembering it the next day, it kinda sucks.

On a different note, Facebook has a new language now - English(pirate)
Ahoy, mateys ^^
