@ WinterSoldier Today's music really sucks, doesn't it? I mean, not all, but majority... I mean, I turn on MTV and... I don't know, that just isn't music There are no more epic rock and/or metal albums and songs... Everything's just mainstream today... Really sucks.

Yeah I dunno. I'll admit I've never actually watched MTV before, except for one of their movie awards shows years ago. Something about it has just never appealed to me, even back when they did allegedly still play videos. I see adverts for it all the time, but they're always for the "next big" reality show they're about to start airing. That alone makes me un-interested.

But to be fair, I don't even watch tv. As in regular tv. I have a tv, yeah, but no satelite, cable, or even rabbit ears. There's just nothing worth watching anymore, from what I've seen at other peoples' houses. I'd basicaly only get a satelite for 3 channels: The History and Discovery channels, and DIY. But those 3 chanels aren't worth shelling out $30+ a month for. Plus everythings on dvd nowadays, so that's how I watch tv shows.

New music... yeah, again, I don't know. I only listen to the radio once a day, and that's the 5:30a.m. news report on my way in to work. I stick w/ cd's from my library in the car and my MP3 player at work. If I do listen to the radio for music, it's usually a pop station. I love heavy metal, and it will always be my first musical love, but at this point there's nothing that can be new about it. Every great riff has been written, as has every great set of lyrics. All any newer metal band can do nowadays is just play what's already been played a different way. So as far as metal bands go, I stick to what I know, and ocassionaly check out a new band if I read a good interview with them or something. But there's loads of great metal that will NEVER get radio play that are always waiting to be discovered. Bands like Acid Bath, Porcupine Tree, How Like A Winter, Apnea, and tons more I'll probably never even hear about. You've just gotta look for them is all.

As far as the pop music goes, I just like variety. And some of it's really fun, even tho to me it is mindless, and most pop artist shouldn't even be called "artist" since they don't/can't write their own material and 95% rely on Auto-Tune vocal effects to cover up their voice, or lack thereof. Pop music, to me mind you, basicaly is good for just not taking things too seriously and relaxing a bit and having fun, plus EVERY pop song always has great production, which is something that always impresses me even if the music that has the great production sucks. I've recently begun to pay attention to Kesha. Her songs are fun, even tho I'm sure that without Auto-Tune she probably couldn't sing a note to save her soul.

Want music that doesn't suck?

CRYSTALLINE by Bjork Now available on iTunes.

advertising is now over, but seriously it is reeeeeaaaaalllly good. I agree that a lot of recent music is crap, but there are decent artists putting out music all the time.

I agree totally. Like sending a message to the development team about having lara getting that evening gown, or having her tits bigger... Im sorry but whatta ?? Get serious guys... How late in puberty are you guys who actually asked for laras tits to be bigger...??

@Cheeky Charlie, yeah, I saw that :| New wishes are: I want Lara's backpack back and Lara to have red streaks in her hair... COME ON!

But, like WinterSoldier said, there shouldn't be worries, but... I bet the development team wants to see like 1000 votes for one thing, and not just about 20 (the amount of active forum members) and when I see things that just make no sense, I flip out xD
Anyways, I think when the time to show those wishes to the team comes, lots of those wishes with little votes will be erased and not shown to them, only the top 5 (safe to say xD) Just hoping a 'stupid' wish will not get a high number of votes XD

P.S. Just to make things clear, all of those wishes are good, I mean, if the team could add 'em all, it would be fine, but they wanna find out what do we wanna see, what's our priority in the gameplay. People moan that the games became 'easy' and not chalenging at all, and here they are, listening to the fans, and (just saying) if the game turns out to be something we didn't want, it's our fault, not theirs...

I love my 40's. 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's (for nostalgia). And I never really thought until someone told me:

That I say I dislike mainstream music, but wouldn't the songs I love from the other periods have been classed as "mainstream" for the time?

Also not all old music is good just as a lot of modern music isn't.

- I really can't stop listening to him.

On another note
I still think I'm the only person that picks up on people voices, as most of us seem to have about twenty, ha.

I suppose it comes down to words you use as well as how you pronounce them. Like:
I say:

'bout, 'ere, goin', quid (for pound), tw-enny (twenty), bath (barth)... I suppose it's just very northern-ish I guess.

And you get the general idea!

Default is it fair?

Hello every 1

Do you think it is fair to be banned from a website?

the reason why i have been banned is
The game website that i am talking reward the top 10 games of e3 and Tomb Raider wasn't 1 of the top 10 games . so when I told them, that it is not fair Tomb Raider is not one of them .. and then they just banned me and deleted all my posts.

;;;;

I need some help. If I want to install that expansion for Tomb Raider 2, The Golden Mask, do I have to start the game all over again, or can I just play those levels in the expansion? Silly question, I know, but... Right now I'm playing TR2, and I'm not finished yet. So, can I just play the levels in Golden Mask after I finish TR2?

P.S. I don't have experience with expansions, so

Might even start one, but I'll wait to see how many forum members are active. I sure miss those competitions... Anyways, my hard disc is pretty much full, so I don't have room for games, so when the time comes ^^

I just read somewhere that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the sale of extremely violent video games can not be prohibited to minors because it violates their constitutional rights relating to freedom of expression. Does this mean it doesn't matter if the game's rated M, minors can still buy it?

I think they're right... Lots of us, when we were younger, saw pretty violent movies like Rambo, and those movies with Steven Seagal, and here we are, still live and sane It's the same with video-games

Yup, I agree. It's all about how parents are raising their child. As you said, we all played a lot of violent video games. We don't have any needs for fighting and problems with controlling anger, right? OK, maybe there are extreme cases, but that's not because of video games or movies, it's because of environment. That kinda reminds me of Megamind, it's wasn't his fault he was raised in prison.

I think what alot of those censorship-typeish people seem to try to ignore is the fact that violence has been around alot longer then video games and movies have been, and that human beings are animals. Yeah, we may be top of the food chain, but at the end of the day we're still animals. We all have natural animalistic instincts and urges, and some of us are able to control them better then others. Those that aren't able to either have a natural short circuit, as it were, or like Ivana said are just raised in a bad enviornment. It's always interesting how people try to place the blame on horrific acts of humanism on either movies, music, or video games. I remember back when Columbine happened everyone was saying: "Oh, they were Marilyn Manson fans. THAT'S why they did it." Yeah, sorry, but no. Besides the fact that those two young gentlemen had parents who by all rights and fairnesses shouldn't have BEEN parents due to their lack of paying and giving attention to their child, those kids weren't even Manson fans. It was actually found out a few weeks after the incident by interviews and investigations (investigation meaning searching their bedrooms and going through everything they owned) conducted by the FBI that those kids didn't even like 1 song by him, let alone own an album of his. "Ah, but they played 'Doom' and made custom levels for it! That's why!" Of course they played 'Doom'. Back then what gamer DIDN'T play 'Doom'? Bah, I'm ranting.

I agree with both of you. I mean, people always look for the downsides, not just games, anything! But what about the upsides? Kids learn English through video-games and movies. I remember being 5 years old and watching Friends and you know what? I read the subtitles while listening what they were saying... Words and expression were just being sucked into my brain XD Same with video-games, I started playing them when I was 9 or 10 years old. Always read the subtitles, and I still do, just to make sure not a word would pass unheard XD And here I am, proudly saying that movies and video-games taught me something. And you can be judges of that. Gone a little offtopic here, but you see my point And I'm sure many of you, whom English is not a native language, can agree with me

Yeah. The reports that usually flare up when something bad happens... like over here in the UK for instance:

It was when the 'Man Hunt' game was released way back way. Someone imitated one of the scenes in real life. I suppose in that case the game did 'inspire' a man to go and kill, but to me that 'man' must have had some serious issues to begin with. Like I enjoy being able to go on games like GTA run over people and laugh about it, but I'm not going to go and and do it. It's bollocks. They just pin an entire gaming community on the odd one or two that commit something as of playing a game or seeing a film.

In fact, this is how stupid it gets. Apparently, many years ago someone wanted the ban Bambi over here in the UK, Bambi! Mainly cause Bambi died and they believed it to deep for kids.

Cause words are ace and are essentially magic?

But:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/cele...-millions.html

To be fair, I can fairly say that releasing the Potter books on ebook format, whilst good, it is an attempt to gain her a few extra million. After all why would she ban other retailers from selling them?

Also I don't know if they are doing this outside of the UK but the are releasing Deathly Hallows part two a day early for one screening. The point?
Simply that you pay for one film and get to re-watch part one followed (after a 20 minute break) by part two at the cinema. Though I think it works out at not ending until about 3:30am... The catch?
You have to be over 18.

I'm tempted, if I rally up my mate but I'll likely see it about a week after it's released (let it die down in terms of crowds), albeit I'll be going for the 11PM screening still... no nosy kids in the background.

LoL You shoulda seen mine before I realized I was ranting and erased 3/4 of it. I dunno, sometimes I get inspired to write an essay? Plus my plans for the day were cancelled, so I had plenty of time to think stuff up and type it out.

Not to mention, the laws are completely illogical. Back when I was seventeen (seventeen! the recommended age on the frickin' box!!!! Rahr!! ) I was prohibited from purchasing a game guide for an M-rated game. Honestly, I already owned the game, why else would I have needed to buy it? Even if I was trying to buy if for someone else, not only was I seventeen, but someone would have owned the game regardless. Really, how badly would I have been corrupted by a book? With the static pictures showing unrealistic alien blood? Pictures of the weapons? I can get the same on t.v., but with moving pictures....

Got bored earlier and fiddled about with some photo editing software. Now, I'm no pro, mind you, but I came up with something that I think is pretty cool, and figured I'd share it here for anyone who wants it.

Anyways, it's far from perfect, but it was literaly thought up and done in about 10 minutes, plus as I said I'm no pro w/ photo software (Photoshop? Ah yes, the place where you get film developed. I like the ones where you can get your pics printed onto a coffee mug). I wanted to do something fairly gothic due to the gothic nature of the word "Tomb" itself. They can't always be nice sunny, exotic islands or jungles, IMO. And it's a bit big, yeah, but it fits nicely on my monitor as "center" instead of "stretch", so that's what I'd reccomend if anyone does in fact take a copy of it.
