Controller
Does anyone know if it is possible to use a controller, such as the type used for Playstation or any of the other consoles, for the PC game? Also, if so which is the best one? And will they cover most of the commands?

I always use a gamepad on the PC for TR games.
Try the Gravis Digital Xterminator...you can assign all the keyboard commands to the controller. Logitech and Microsoft are other good choices...not tried 'em myself, but I hear good things about 'em!
