I'm just reading this glorious news now. Shame on me.
I just hope my PS3 will download it. The last software update (Is this the same as the 'patch'?) I downloaded for a game failed. I don't know why, and I don't know how to try it again.
I hope I have better luck with TR.
And I don't mind waiting for whenever this patch is released.

Any news on this at all yet? I can understand that things may be taking longer than they should for whatever reason that may be, but considering that you already have the trophies in Japan it can't be that hard to sort them out for working over here? Ok maybe there are problems we can't see but it would be nice if we heard some kind of info on what is going on. It's been almost a month I think since you announced that this patch is on it's way and we haven't heard anything since. Even if you were to tell us it would take a few weeks/months longer at least we'd know what to expect but right now we are in the dark and it is starting to feel like this patch is never coming

I saw this on wikipedia "On 9 January 2009, Eidos announced that Tomb Raider: Underworld sales failed to meet expectations, selling 1.5 million copies worldwide as of 31 December 2008. On 27 February 2009, Eidos announced that the game has shipped around 2.6 million copies worldwide, and is more successful than previous two titles in the series"

I wouldn't be surprised if at least a part of those extra sales were people who were on the fence about buying TR:U and having trophies pushed them over to the buying the game side. Ok chances are most of those extra sales weren't because of that but there are a lot of people who buy games based on the fact of if they have trophy support or not and knowing how fast games come and go these days if it takes too long getting the patch out then trophy support for TR:U will be old news and the effort put into it by Eidos will be ignored by a lot of people.

I'm not trying to sound rude to the game makers or anyone who is part of this game, I just feel it's time we got some info in one form or another.

I've got an update. It's my favourite kind of update too, because it's a nice candid one.

So the bad news is the team is hard at work and implementation into the code is still in progress, this will be followed by testing and certification by SCE. The good news is once it’s in submission with SCE I think we’ll be in a better position to give you guys an idea of release date.

Your patience is appreciated and rest assured it'll be ready as soon as it can and you'll be the first to hear the next update.

Perhaps they do not want to released untested, buggy content to the PS3 system, and would rather release a solid, working Trophy system than rush out with something that is not going to work properly.

interesting, shame the trophies have already been out for the japanese version of the game and work perfectly so ive been told.

SO the only issue is translation and of course the developers being arsed about the PS3 version of the game.

exactuly, what else are they doing at the moment, some early preproduction? It dosnt take most of the workforce for that, and the groundwork is basically done already. Unless Sony is still reveiwing them, but surely it dosent take this long. Its all a Conspiracy XD LOL

Ok, so from post here on this forum, I got the impresion that TRU doesn't have Trophies, plus I don't remember getting any in TRU but I went to this site, cheatcc.com and on the PS3 Version Codes, and Secrets page, it mentions Trophies to be found. Surely they meant only for the 360. Unless I'm wrong and TRU has them. If it has, they're really hard to get. Not like PoP, where they are Easy to get, for me at least every 3 minutes or so.
