Missing Serpent Head in Mexico

Sorry if this was already discussed, but I didn't have any luck finding anything on it when I did some searches. Anyway...

I finished the game, and am now in the Treasure Hunt mode (xbox360.) I am trying to get the relic in Mexico. When I come to the large room where I found Thor's belt, the etir is all the way to the top of the level. When I finished this level in the regular game, I used one of the snake or serpent heads to swing to a ledge to get out, which raised the etir as I left.

I didn't think it would be an issue, but now in Treasure hunt mode, when I come back to this room, I can't lower the etir because the snake head is missing, so I can't grab the pole to close his mouth to lower the etir.

I am guessing that by leaving the level before and raising the etir, I am screwed, but I guess I don't understand why the snake head is gone. I reloaded a couple save games, and the snake head is always gone. Unfortunately, I didn't keep all of my save games, so I might just be screwed out of the last relic.

Any ideas? Thanks!

The eitr always rises back to the top when you leave, cause grappling the highest snake head is the only way to get out of that place!
I don´t understand why the snake head is missing, cause when you first came to that place the eitr was all the way to the top too, and the head was there to jump on the pole and lower the stuff. So it is very strange if it were gone, maybe a bug or something?

I guess you have to revisit the location again or reload a savegame.

Bummer. I don't have any save games that far back. Must be a bug. Anyone else run across this by chance?

Must be a XBOX bug. On a PC, the snake heads are there, and the etir is lowered all the way. The collapsable ledges are gone, so the only way down is from the grapple ring from the upper snake head, but this didn't trigger the etir to be raised in treasure hunt mode.

Hmmm... XBOX 360 isn't that buggy, i have the game and yet, i encountered zilch glitches that effected my gameplay. (i think)

Theres one reason, and one reason only that uncharted will never beat TR.
TR has a female main character, c'mon boys you can't say you'd rather play with a dude than a lady now, would you? ;]

Well, I really thought the patch that came out for the 360 would have fixed this glitch, but nope. still not serpent head to grab. sigh.

I even moved to a different stage, then came back, and still no serpent head.

If the patch were to 'fix' the glitch, it would do so on a fresh playthrough, not on the save where the serpent head is already missing (that's what I assume your problem is).
The only way to resolve this, assuming that the serpent head is missing in the savegame, is to load the autosave from Midgard serpent, and replay the rest of the game to get to Treasure Hunt mode - if you're that desperate for the relic, that is.

(EDIT: I am not sure if it would be possible, but you could activate the "bullet proof" cheat, from TR:L, and swim to get the relic. I know the cheats work, though).

Lara cannot swim in the pool only walk across it with the cheat, with no way to lower the pool you cannot get the relic. Better to load the Treasure Hunt autosave, then load the autosave for the Land of the Dead chapter, and go back up and get the relic. If you do this once you have everything no matter which autosave you load you will have everything for that level, presumably like in Legend when replaying once you complete the level it will save what you picked up when it overwrites the autosave. l will not guarantee it though never having tried it. l just started a new game to collect the 2 remaining treasures l had missed since l had to replay it again to get all the achievements anyway.
