Yes, I enjoy the game even though I feel there's something missing about the story

Yes. Best TR this decade, best since TR4 and one of my favorites, a true next gen TR.

Sorry to say I was dissapointed but I think Im the only 1. I played it on the 360 and its mainly the visuals and presentation I couldnt stand but other than that ther was nothing about the gameplay or anything that I enjoyed. Wish I hadnet spent $98 AUD

Wow, really? For me the best part was the visuals. I loved the graphics and overall feel of the game, especially how it felt more remote than Legend, when Lara was never more than 10 metres from a human enemy. And I thought they made the best of a bad story (I never liked the Lara's mother thing, but at least it was tidied up).

However sometimes I thought that the gameplay fell flat, and a couple of times I became stuck due to not knowing that the move required to progress actually existed. The lack of boss fights was annoying - as SaveFerris said, the Doppelganger would have made an awesome battle.

I want to feel Lara make those death defying jumps and big leaps. Also I felt like there were to many god damn bugs/glitches that got in the way of me doing things.
I think you make a good point. Mirror's Edge lacked puzzles in the Tomb Raider sense, but the beauty of the game was its simplicity - you knew where you had to go, but you had to work out how to get there, and avoid numerous obstacles.

Mirror's Edge and TR are very different, but I think that the combat in Mirror's Edge was particularly well done. The fun was in avoiding enemies, or taking them out one-by-one, not mowing them down - in TRU, you could flatten groups of machine-gun wielding enemies with relative ease, but in Mirror's Edge, that was generally impossible, and so groups of armed mercenaries presented a real problem. Also, particularly later on in the game, enemies matched your character's skill and fighting ability, so outrunning or beating them was more difficult, and more satisfying when you managed it.

I think pitting Lara against the odd enemy of similar ability - such as the Doppelganger - would make the game much more interesting. But it's just a thought. And from the looks of things, the next TR is going to be a bit of a departure anyway.

I actually loved the game... but I did get stuck couple times due to just... I don't even know, haha. It was a great game but at certain puzzles I felt a little lost because you honestly sometimes had no idea where you were going until you circled around an area couple times and eventually ran into what you were suppose to do (minus dying couple times due to horrible camera angles which would make you zoom into a rock, wall, lara's butt, etc. Lol)

All-in-all... Good game just... I HATED those camera angles!!! XD And I like a challenge so not complaining about getting lost, though it was annoying.

Default I enjoyed it but,,,,,

I enjoyed the game but Laura is starting to feel a bit old. Please revamp the combat and add some cinematic action. Play Uncharted 1 or 2. Naughtydog stole most of their ideas for those games from TR but did it with style.

TRU wasn't the best I know that much. Still two major points about the post. It's Lara not Laura. I would certainly not want to see TR copy uncharted. TR is it's own great series and the Uncharted team are the copycats. Think a TR series revamp would be good though.

I like the graphics, but the camera is not as good as in Legend or Anniversary (it's very hectic).
The fight system is good, especially the fact, that lara can aim at two enemies with the pistols or the uzi.
The bike system was better in legend.
The Story was too short. For those, who didn't play the game yet, i put it in a spoiler xD

There should be more Shootouts (gun fights)
than killing animals or just climbing

In the next Tomb CITY Raider lol
The Ultimate would be if Lara Croft would be in New York
Like GTA 4 lol Driving cars interacting with people
around the city for a change than just being in the
Moutains & ruins around the world

Thumbs down

If you want a feeling like this, you should buy GTA IV.
Tomb Raider is known for those ruins. TR games are good, if ruins and city/modern places have a relation of 3 to 1. Could you imagine a TR game without any ruin, any animalistic enemy, any monster, any trap, any puzzle, any...
What do the others say?

I'm 50/50 on the subject. There was some things I loved about the game but at the same time the bugs and glitchy camera ruined alot for me. By the time I finished the game it was just like w/e. I liked the DLC alot more then the main game.

Took me a long time to get through this game, unlike other TR games that seem to beckon you back to finish this game was almost hard yakka and not that enjoyable at all. Not sure if l can understand where the developers were going with this, sure it looks good but there's no excitment or should l say not enough excitment in the game to keep it interesting or interactive and for that matter challenging.Maybe there's to many games of this format that play out so much better .l hope TRGOL will be something a little more special.

These days I’m always concerned that they care more about the graphic than they do about the story. But TRU was nice, I enjoyed the story and it was fun to play.

I just bought it! I've been a Lara and Tomb raider fan since her first mission back in 94 for when i bought my PS3.. a year and a half ago, i was aiming other cool games and i forgot this amazing one. For me... when we had Legends and Anniversary it was my nice and old Lara Croft coming back. Now with Underwolrd, it's absolutely AWESOME. the best game.

I did enjoy it, however i must admit one thing.

Back when TRA came out Yahtzee noted that CD had changed laras personality. She went from ultra confident with witty and in some cases with a slight air of flirtatiousness to standard template Hollywood "strong woman", which is a step backwards i feel. The old Lara had that slightly Bond feel, confident in the supreme to the point they feel that could make light of a situation and jokes knowing that even if they did anger someone they would still win. I didn't get feeling from TRU or in TRA.

If you take the scene with Larson in TRA where Lara is in the water and Larson says something like "I'd love to join ya, but i forgot my trunks" and instead a witty comeback, she has a serious and threatening come back which to me is slightly less confident. To me, if Lara had shot back a witty come back, maybe even with a slight air of flirtatiousness she would have seemed more confident. Same goes for after with putting the gun up to Larsons face, she shouldn't need to do that.

Its like with the old and new batman movies. Bale in the new ones had to throw someone up against the wall and threaten them... Keaton just had to smile to achieve the same effect.

No I didn't enjoy TRU because there are no extra costumes and DLC for the PC Version so I won't bother getting anymore Tomb Raider games see you console gaming ers.

Default did I enjoy it?

One word and one letter: F**king A.
Picked it up Monday morning, and that's all I did all day. Loved every minute of it. It was great to see the continuation (possibly 100% conclussion? Tho I do hope not 'cos it's an excellent story.) of the storyline established in 'Legend'. I equally enjoyed the storyline as well as gameplay itself. The only thing I really have to complain about is that I played the PS2 version, and was bummed out when I realized I wouldn't be killing any of the sharks or big ass spiders I saw in the previews for it I'd looked up on YouTube
Seriously tho, I thought it was great. 'Legend' is held higher for me still, but that's due to the fact that it's the game that got me turned on "Tomb Raider" so it's got the whole "emotional attatchment" edge in the race.
Also picked up 'Anniversary' when I got 'Underworld', so I'm about to start that now. Looking forward to it since I never really finished the first TR due to my having been too, um, easily frustrated by games back then. (Then again, I never had a Playstation. Had to borrow my step-brothers for awhile, so I never really had time to get too involved with any particular game.)
Crystal Dynamics really have done a great job. They took a game franchise I hadn't gave a $hit about for years, and made it fresh and 100% bad ass w/ 'Legend', and did not let me down w/ my expectations for 'Underworld'. Great job CD and Eidos. Thouroughly enjoyed every minute of both games. I only wish I'd caught 'em when they were new releases so as to officialy support both companies instead of the used game store I had to get them from.
One question about 'Underworld' tho: Where was the Union Jack outfit? That was my lucky outfit for Time Trials in 'Legend'.
