I was reading a thread about plotlines and Lara's future. I'm just here to give you my opinion and i deemed this worthy of it's own thread lol...


Right, i'm just begging that eidos/CD DO NOT do this.

Please DON'T add Amanda or Natla in future plots... it's been done, please move on....

The one thing that's really been bugging me is this whole continuous storyline thing. The ending of TR:U would have hardly made sense if one didn't play legend... I'm not, in any way trying to compare CD with CORE (as I know many of you are sick of hearing about how great the old games were etc etc) but if one played AOD before TR4, you would still get it...

I understand that legend needed to be finished off, and TR:U was the way to do it... but i really don't want the Tomb Raider franchise to turn into Harry Potter... let there be more than one bad guy... Natla's dead... she should stay that way.... Amanda made a truce with lara.... lets never incorporate her into another storyline for as long as we live.

Secondly...

Please don't do another remake... the one thing i loved about the 'classics', was the simple fact that they were classic. They were harder to control, they were a little glitchy, the graphics were bad.... lets leave it that way.

I always set up this image in my head as to what tomb raider 2 or 3 would look like in next gen. and I'm pretty sure that image in my head, is way off the image in yours. I for one, hated anniversary, not because it was a bad game (it wasn't... leave out the number of ledges and anniversary was pretty good) but because I had a constant comparison in my head. I've noticed that with the CD games... everything's up a notch, and it's all a bit more arcade. (It isn't a bad thing.... its just different). So the sudden t-rex randomly jumping at me was changed.... the t-rex was not only given an introduction, but it was also given a health bar, and a monotonous way in which killing it would take place....

What happened to using the good ol' pistols until the bloody thing drops to the floor?

So, I say no more remakes please... and remaking tomb raider two would make me go crazy.



Anyway guys... what do you guys think... I am, after all, one guy.

Ehh I like the way CD is doing things with Tomb Raider, CORE is gone, time to move ahead with what CD is doing. I do however agree with not bringing Natla back, i do not want her in another game, Amanda i can almost guarantee will be back in he next one.

I dont think this franchise is anywhere near Harry Potter either.

As far as the remakes are concerned, I agree there shouldn't be anymore remakes, I wouldn't be mad if they did but id rather have new games than remakes of old ones. But I'll accept either to be honest,especially if its TR 2.

Also OF COURSE things are different, its a different developer, cant expect them to be the same

Just gotta move forward and go with what CD has to offer, which has been great(to me) so far with what they have had to offer.

Anyways, with the way TRU was for me personally, i cannot wait to see what CD comes up with for Tomb Raider 9.

I agree with you 100%... and i wasn't comparing developers nor was i still hung up about core leaving....

i personally have learnt to get used the changes CD have made, and i'm growing to like them as i've just accepted that tomb raider can't stay in PS1 format forever. lol

The only reason i gave harry potter as an example, it purely due to the fact that it only really has one bad guy.

The reason i mentioned Core, was because making a remake would involve re-creating a core game. And yes, CD have taken tomb raider in their own direction, but i'm just against the idea of taking the old tomb raider games in the same direction. And plus, that effort should be spent in creating a brilliant new tomb raider game.

yeah im with you also, no more Natla please, bring on someone new

wish they'd kill of amanda though, her character/voice is like a nail on a chalkboard to me lol
