I've been reading through the posts and so far found answers to my question but not for the Wii.
I've moved the blue, glowy bridge and am having to go back to the boat. I've entered the next room where there's a ring in the middle of the room (not attached to a wall) and a closed door underwater. On the other side of the room the exit is blocked and I am able to climb along the left wall a little bit until I can't get any further up or over. I know I have to be looking for a switch to pull but I can't find it. I've looked underwater and along the walls. I'm sure it's something easy that I'm not seeing but I sure could use somebody's help. Jules |

Use the ring on the wall to cross the room to the other platform across by hooking up to the ring a to perform a wall jump. There's nothing much to do on the other side than climb up, you can see the rest for yourself, I dont remember what I did I only now it's was simple and didnt included an underwater switch.
It could have been a downsliding pole you just need to hang on... |

run along the wall using the grapple and ring. Jump from the wall to the ledge. You'll be able to open the under water door from there.

Are you playing it on a Wii? Every tip I've found seems to be for something besides Nintendo and there are some differences in the game between this and the other systems.
There is no ring along the wall, only one at the top middle of the room. Since it's not along a wall, I can't use it to walk along or jump back from a wall. I am able to use the ring to swing to the other side of the room, where there's a blocked exit. From here if I go left I'm able to climb the wall twice before getting stuck. I'm not able to grab to anything else and jumping up along the wall and pillar(?) only works for so long before I fall back down to the beginning. It says something like "I need to pull that switch to open another exit from the room" except I can't find the silly switch. I'm so frustrated because I've done so well until now and am ready to keep advancing and am stuck in this little room. Jules

Use the ring on the wall (don't know what you mean by saying there is no wall ring) to wall run and jump to the ledge on the other side. But that's academic seeing as you said you can get to the other side anyway. Use the shimmy ledges over there to climb up and jump on to a swing pole. Hang on the swing pole as it lowers and it'll open the door.

I am in the exact same boat Julesie states. Unlike the Xbox 360 version, there is no ring mounted to a wall, and no ledge or pole that can be seen anywhere.
On the Wii version there's a ring mounted in the center of the ceiling. You can use it to cross the water to the opposite platform. On the other side there's an exit blocked by rubble, and that's it. There's no pole, no switch, no ledge high up. Left of the blocked exit you can jump up 2 crevices up the wall, but that leads nowhere. I've explored that room for what seems like hours now. I'm starting to wonder if there was a big mistake on the part of the programmers? Please help, anybody who's gotten past this on the Wii version. Last edited by Jonesy; 11-20-2008 at 10:40 PM. |

I, too, am in the exact same state.
1) opened the door using gauntlet 2) watched cine 3)rotated bridge to face other door 4)opened door 5)watched cine, gauntlet used up Now I face a small room with a ring at the top of the room to swing across. On the other side is a doorway, but it is blocked by rubble, to the left of it, is some crevices in which I can go up 2x, but after that she can not jump to the left, up or right. I have tried to back jump to start her doing a chimney jump, but she goes two jumps through that, and then falls to the group as she is blocked by some invisible wall to go any higher. On the lower left wall, underwater appears to be a door, but it won't open. After checking the field assistance thing on the PDA, it says I need to use the switch. What switch? Back in the main room where the tree is, there is no where to jump to, nor can I rotate the bridge anymore. So, is there just a flaw in the program? Is there supposed to be something there that isn't? |

This is getting stranger and stranger.
On the PC version, once you've used the ring to get to the other side of the water, you have to jump up the two shimmy ledges on the left hand side of the room and then jump to the left (back towards where the door is under the water). There's a swing pole there that Lara grabs, it lowers as she hangs from it and the door opens. I don't know how different the Wii version is to that, but the solution is dead simple. |

The difference is....
There is no swing pole to the left for her in the Wii version. The brick is slightly lighter suggesting a grab point, but it isnt. In fact, as she hangs from the 2nd ledge, she doesnt even want to look left, because nothing is there. Usually she will at least turn her head toward something there. The times I force her over, she just jumps to the left and *sploosh* back in the water. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gizmobain/3047081083/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/gizmoba...n/photostream/ Here are some shabby. but I think they get the point across, screenshots. I wish there was a hook on the wall, like in the other systems. That would make it easier to understand that it's me unable to get Lara to jump back in order to get to a switch. But unfortunately, there ISN'T any side wall hook nor any way up besides the two crevices that lead me no where. I'm starting to think it might be a bug. Who knows. I hope it's not and that it's something right in front of my eyes so I can continue playing. Jules |

You can wall run on the Wii version of the game. I don't know why the Wii version of the game has a different room set up than some of the other game versions out there, but that's how it is.
Now that there's three of us encountering the same problem, with no solution, I'm seriously starting to think the Wii version of the game has an enormous bug. |

I agree with you on that. And that would be sad because I've been looking forward to playing this game so much.

I would agree as well.
Something is up. I posted this same post in the Technical forum as well, but we will see. |

I am stuck at the same point.
There's posts ALL over the internet of Wii owners running into the same problem... so this issue (of either a bug, bad programming, or an insanely difficult puzzle) is widespread.... Hopefully this gets resolved soon. I have spent over 2 hours in this room trying different things. There is NO wall mounted ring (only the ring in the middle on the beam), and there is NO horizontal pole on the wall. Alas, we wait.... |

I contacted Eidos and they are gathering information about this problem to find out if it is truly a glitch in the game or what. I have responded to an e-mail from them and will keep you posted.

I was asked to send Eidos detailed information on where I was in the game and what was missing. I used your posts in my e-mail as to where I was and the posts of others to show what was missing. I hope this gets resolved soon. The associate from Eidos said she would contact me when she hears.

I think the game is broken. In another forum we have been trying other ideas too.
Just to connect the two, there is another forum going on about this in the Technical area. Here is the link. http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=82995 |
