This a TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD forum!
A place of discussion about TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD!
If people can't handle breaking news concerning a game they want to purchase, maybe they shouldn't purchase or leave the forum, or both.
Despite that I don't post any new info concerning TRU, when I see others do, and people jumping down there throats because they supposedly "ruined everything for them," is just an outrage!

Within reading a couple of words of information that can "spoil" someone's TRU expirence, people should know that it's a spoiler.
Instead of reading the entire post, THEN replying back with sarcastic remarks like, " Thanks for ruining it for me!"

This type of behavior is ridiculous!
Those displaying this behavior know they wanted to know whatever they read, otherwise they wouldn't have read the entire post.

Spoiler tags are nice thing to do, but people become impulsive when excited, and shouldn't be hammered for not putting up spoiler tags.

I totally agree! i mean it's not like your putting up information to be mean and ruin everything!! dont worry i completely understand! to me the "spoilers" help me get a little more pumped up for the game, to me it is the next best thing!

[In Bold] That's what I hate the most, especially when you've clearly put SPOILER in the title or in the first post.

But I do agree with you. Some people need to get a grip. If it says "SPOILER", use your common sense and don't read it if you want to be surprised. And even if it doesn't say "SPOILER", with the first sentence or so, if you even have the slightest assumption that it is information you have yet to see or hear yourself and don't want to be informed of it, stop reading.

Thank you
By violating either of these things, it's disrespectful to those of us who don't want to be spoiled. We want to enjoy our game experience too, and don't want the little details spoiled for us.

I don't go into threads titled "spoiler" anymore.
With an Opening Post containing a spoiler, it's sensible to both place the word 'Spoiler' in the title, and spoiler info in 'spoiler' tags. This is why if a thread doesn't have the word 'spoiler' in the thread title, it should be clean of spoiler info. And that's why, if I go into the thread and find un-spoiler-tagged spoilers, I'm allowed to get annoyed.

Is any of that so complicated, and beyond any member, to justify not coming down on a member who ruins an
important plot detail for us?
{EDIT: If it is, here's a link on how to use the spoiler tags }

Not putting spoiler tags around spoiler content (takes less than 10 seconds), and not putting the word "spoiler" in the title of a thread containing spoilers... THAT'S ridiculous behaviour.

yea but if they start reading it and they see its a spoiler ready to happen they can stop and go away...but instead they keep on reading it when they know its a spoiler then they complain about it...

Without being to harsh on Nate, I think this is a continuation of this post. (that's the straw, if not the issue).

And by the time you're spoiled... well, you can't really un-spoil can you. The only way you can assume a post is free of spoilers, is to assume the member was clever/kind enough to use the

tags.
It cannot be expected of the group not wanting to be spoiled to *predict* whether there will be a spoiler.

Expecting people who want to share spoiler info to use the

tags are how things work.

Not quite. GoranAgar also has his 'opinion' too...

And is it not unreasonable to ask people to use Spoiler tags? They're not hard to use, there are instructions, and there's even a handy button to help people.

I find it unreasonable to expect those of us who do not want to be spoiled to be psychic and know whether a thread is spoiler or not... this is why the keyword "Spoiler" is recommended in thread titles, and Spoiler tags are used.

I'm with rg on this. I personally have reached the stage where I no longer want Underworld to be spoiled for me as I feel too much info is becoming available, so I rely on others to make sure they use spoiler tags, allowing me to evade them and still be comfortable browsing the forum.

If you think guidelines set in place by a forum administrator are just "opinions"...
It's also common sense to use spoiler tags and title threads with "spoiler". It's considerate, and not too hard.

And stick to the subject, rather than trying to make a personal attack against me.

If you read the post, it's pretty sensible stuff, not unreasonable.

RG? Yeah he is always that nice. No offense intended towards you or Nate, but Goran sets the rules around here pretty much. It's his way or the highway as they say. In the time I've enjoyed on here I never found him to be unreasonable or harsh. Rules are rules folks, if you have an issue with them take it up with Goran, and I'll say it was nice knowing you. Goran is the man.

Was it really necessary for you to say the part in red? It just looks bad for you to say one thing just before doing another...

And I think Nate was complaining about something different, about people who complain about spoilers in spoiler threads.
The situation of your thread (if you're pointing the finger at it) is that your thread:
 1. lacks the word "spoiler" in the title, alongside having a title that doesn't lend itself to any spoilers.
 2. did not wrap Spoiler tags around the spoiler content, which enough of the spoiler threads (are supposed to) do. And, at the time of writing, you still haven't even edited your post to put spoiler tags in...

Anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled has no way of knowing whether or not there are spoilers in any given thread, so convention is to put the word "spoiler" in the thread title, and failing that at least using spoiler tags in posts, so it can be assumed that by default someone won't get spoiled so long as they don't look into threads with "spoiler" in the title.

You posted in this community and got introduced with some of the rules we like here. Now you know for the future how things are done here.

And just because someone like surprises in the game that does not mean that person should be excluded from the community. So everybody please apply to the spoiler rules and everybody else, do not yell at people who don't. Just show them the light in a nice and polite fashion.
