The "boss/enemy dude's" name is Barrett. There's also another concept of him:

By the way, a dude with a gun-arm, named Barrett... haven't I seen this somewhere? Like Final Fantasy 7? :P

Isn't it illegal to post magazine scans in here?

    Response to Barret:
Well, he might as well be Gunther with hair and an American accent. XD

Response to ShangHai: I always liked the concept

But all in all, it's VERY odd that the tech in this game is far more advanced than that of DX1 for being a prequel to the games. I mean, yes, we're dealing purely with prosthetics instead of anything really nano-machine based, but you have to admit that DX1 looked no where near as sophisticated as this does. (Sorry if I sound like I'm bashing the game, or if I'm being nit picky) I just wouldn't think that tech like 'suspended cities' would appear in the prequel when it seems relatively new in the sequel.

But that's really just me. I'm really just hoping for a long, well-done game, both in writing, and in characterization.

Besides, I'm getting a "Ghost In the Shell" vibe over a "Final Fantasy 7" vibe. XD

well, DX3 is supposed to take place before the economic depression that grips the world before DX1, so maybe that has something to do with it.
ps: sorry for the double post

Looks like the golden ratio again, as applied to Egyptian pyramids. Though with it popping up everywhere I doubt this means we'll be (p)revisiting Caïro.

I'm definitely getting a Final Fantasy/Ghost In The Shell feel from this... and all I have to say is keep going! All my favorites in one can't go wrong... I really hope that you do see the augs (bio and weapons) go into effect on the screen when you use them... it looks that way

    Cool New DX-Preview in Germany

    Please ignore my bad english.
In the german magazine "GameStar 12/2008 November", there´s an 8-pager about DX3 with many photos.
One picture with the titel: "Apartement of the hero Adam Jensen"

Im not allowed to post attachments myself.

The original picture in the magazine is reflected (without the face of AJ) and shows a bit more of the room.

update the image gallery and Roi Danton, please bring us some more scans to be dazzled from.

I like the apartment RPG element (here's the workplace we'll go back to after every mission?)

I've seen this image already posted in another thread (can't remember which one, sorry). But, yeah, do you have any more?

Hello, Deus Ex 3 forums, I come bearing gifts once more.

As far as I know there is nothing new, but there's a reason I'm uploading these.

Edit: I'm re-editing these in, since they're in the first post. Just edit them out if this isn't wise at the moment.

This one that Tecman posted seems to be the original you spoke of VodunLaos. A big Thank you to Tecman

I like the apartment. It has a very blade runner feel. Adam seems to be an intelligent feller considering he has books everywhere. And I'm loving the HUGE screen.

Edit: Hi Yargo. Sorry, but I've been asked to remove this for now.

Is it confirmed that this is Jensen's room?

WOW! Thanks for these awesome shots!

The urban picture is amazing, what a great environment. All in all the screenshots show some very atmospheric environments. I can't wait for this game.
