I just noticed there's another dude in the picture. A third dude other than the guy with the gun. Up on the second floor. Maybe a scientist or something?

lets say my opinion about the controversial pic with the big room......
to me it seems like bank cells maybe its a bank...
(cells probably is for currency and/or gold reserves)
and the guy with the gun is security guard.
watching his legs possibly are augmented
its something that i cannot make it clear but his legs are very weird......

This must be concept art to final in-game screen.
10-29-2008, 08:55 PM
Nah, that's the same area, just from a different angle. It's still concept art.

There is no in-game screen to speak of at this point, and certainly nothing final. Anyone who knows something about game development would know that it's too early for this. Do not believe what you read on forums.
Except this post of course

There are in-game screens. Rene said so himself. A lot of them are concepts, but there are some in-game ones AFAIK:
10-29-2008, 10:24 PM
Haha, you guys thought they were all concept art? It's easy to tell the difference between an in-game screenshot than a concept art. DXeXodus speaks the truth.

At this point, it's highly debatable whether they can be considered in-game even if they are in-engine. Promotional screenshots frequently get touched up in all possible ways. Heck, those might be game assets rendered in a raytracing program or something.

I don't know. They look more than believable in my opinion. There are several other images which looked like they have been post-processed over engine screenshots, but the few I posted above really do look in-game to me. And I swear I remember Rene saying that they are in-engine shots.
Maybe he can clarify when he is online later
[EDIT] @VodunLoas: Love the avatar BTW!

Oh yes, most certainly.

lol, thanks. The idea just came to me while trying to make an avatar using the hand.
Oh, and this proves that I am right about that screenshot: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthr...561#post848561

My guess is that the images that look like screenshots are renders using in-game assets (you can see the poly edges of the chair in the bottom left corner.) With so much post bloom and whatnot they look more like the kind of digital painting a studio would create as part of a mood board.
Edit: Just visited the link posted above and if Rene claims one of those shots is a screenshot then it opens the possibility that more images are indeed screenshots. It looks like the team is much more advanced in development than I thought, and insanely talented too, especially from a lighting perspective Ace work guys!

Indeed. Looks great... (yes I edited)

Yeah. I agree. The game is probably a a lot further in development than we may believe. It is looking absolutely awesome TBH.
Thanks for finding the quote VodunLoas I knew it existed.

Those are in-game screens? Damn....Impressive work EM!

The bottom image is in-game. I think the fact that it's a physical scan of a magazine page, and a small image to begin with, makes it look kind of weird, but that is running in-game.
