I want to see a pic of the stun prod (if there's any). I didn't like the design in the prior games - it should look more like a taser IMO.

I bet crime rates are going up in Germany as a result.
Yes, the great leader doesn't appreciate virtual violence in any form. It is understood that this would severely harm our great consensus.

Actually nobody really cares about violence in games. If you want them, you can buy them easily.

Hm, you can import uncut-versions from neighbouring countries but I think that's quite a pain in the ass. You can't just wait for the first reviews and walk into the next shop on releaseday to buy the game, for example. Sometimes there aren't any localised uncut-versions either. Fallout 3 is the newest example. The German censorship of adult-stuff sucks. It's a good thing to keep kids away from certain stuff but it's a whole different situation when they ban or censor stuff that is meant for adults.

Oh! almost forgot I'm willing to bet that the interior is Adam's place of occupation and the guy is either Adam or one of his security cronies.

It just looks like a slightly stylised drawing of a guy with kneepads and toned legs to me.

Uhh, no, they don't. Look at some american comics and you'll notice legs are frequently drawn like that, it's a bit of stylisation, nothing more.

So its all of you against me, huh? I see his far leg and I'm afraid I have to disagree with ya'll. After his knee the leg goes back into another joint then forward to the floor after that. Plus he would be falling forward if he had normal joints.

I'll side with you... kind of!

I've been studying the image and it does appear that the lower leg is angled differently from the norm. Could be an augmentation for speed (reminds me of those prosthetic running blades for athletes), but it may just be the art style, as someone suggested. The image quality gives cause for uncertainty.

Can anyone post up a bigger but clear pic of the legs, please?
Thank you.

EDIT:

The angle/design reminds me of these:

The Original Powerizer: aka Powerisers, Jumping shoes, Spring stilts, PoweriZers, Fly Jumpers, Flying Jumpers, Skyrunners or Pogo shoes.

Jump 6 feet high - Run up to 20 miles per hour - Take 9-12 foot strides
Wow! Sounds fun! But scary in a game if someone is chasing you with an advanced augmented version.

Another thing is the ostrich is the fastest biped at around 40mph so it makes since to model a speed aug after an ostrich.

And thank you Mrs. P for keeping an open mind

I agree, Kieranator, that is a really good looking gun. Not sure how functional the iron sights would be though. The shoulder-butt seems to be a bit too high. Although, I am not a weapons expert by any means so I could be completely wrong.

[EDIT] Looking at it again, I suppose it could work.
Dear lord, that gun is making me drool.

My first thought was that it looks like a prison.

Yeah it kinda looks like a prison. Maybe the entrance to a lab too. Although that guy in the back looks like a janitor so maybe not so high-security clearance type of place.

He could also just be a prisoner. The mesh fencing also reminds of a prison.

Can someone please remind what the prison sector in Half Life 2 was called. For some reason this area reminds me of that.
[EDIT] Never mind. I just remembered. The level I am thinking of is Nova Prospect.

Sorry for the tiny picture. Here is wider view from the PC Zone mag. Shows another character which makes it feel a lot less "prisony" though.

Heh those legs make him look like a satyr which has goat legs.
Satyr legs aug - in-your-face-aug to jump higher/run faster

However it looks like a stylized depiction to me too.

I believe what you're referring to as mesh fencing is actually just the print pattern

Ah, but notice that the other character has the same type of clothes the one in the background has, so it's definitely some sort of controlled environment.

True about the print pattern. My mistake

It could be the entrance lobby to the lab we have seen in the other scans. The door on the left is very similar to others we have seen in the lab pics.

I don't know. But speculation is just so much fun!

True, the colour palette is pretty much the same as all the lab pics:

And yes, speculation and analysis is always fun!

It could be a secure area in the lab or it could be a lab with cells in

A DX3 artbook. Make it so.
