Three already seen images in better quality.

    http://www.jeuxactu.com/article-3373...-artworks.html

The last one is this "renewable energy" pic. There is a lot of French text in there, so I guess, it's safe to assume that the city's Montreal.

BTW, I'm not sure whether it was posted here, but German GameStar said that Jensen is going to visit five places - Detroit, Shanghai, Montreal and two undisclosed locations.
Die Stadt ist Shanghai, einer der fünf Schauplätze von Deus Ex 3. Drei davon sind Städte, neben Shanghai noch Detroit und Montreal. Die beiden anderen Orte bleiben vorerst ungenannt.

Ya we figured that out right before you posted. Its kind of ironic. I've been trying to get people to talk about the word "Passerelle" that appears in "renewable energy" picture. I think its a big gate because passerelle means gateway. You can also see what at first looks like a sign on the left side of the street. but I think its the gate because it looks the same material as the passerelle 01 structure. Thoughts anyone?

I checked in the dictionary and it was "footbridge"... which is exactly what that thing looks like. Did you use Google Translate? It translates it to "gateway", but if you make "passerelle" part of a sentence, it becomes "bridge".

[EDIT:] Found it on French Wikipedia (translated by Google)
    * In the first meaning, the word means a bridge deck usually small.
    * In the maritime area, a bridge is the compartment of a ship where you direct the maneuvers.
    * In computing, a bridge that links two networks, see also bridge and router. [N2000: English gateway]
    * In architecture, a bridge is a covered walkway, suspended and not touching the ground between two buildings.
You can also see what at first looks like a sign on the left side of the street. but I think its the gate because it looks the same material as the passerelle 01 structure. Thoughts anyone?
    Do you mean this?

I got similar meanings. It could just be an obvious bridge. But a gate would be cool! I'm probably over analyzing .

No its just above the do not enter sign and to the left a hair. It looks like it has some words and it has the light shining on it. The "sign" in front of the white sign with restaurant in red.

I confirm, we can read some french word.

On the bulding at the left of the screen:

    An "Open" sign ("Ouvert")

    "Coiffure" (Hairstyle)
    "Le carré" (The square)
    "Spécial" (Special)
    "Entrée" (Entry)
    Far far far, "Restaurant" (Restoring)

The famous "Passerelle 01", which mean, a bridge for walking thing.

And by the road sign, we can say its an american city.

    +1 for Montréal.

Why? I gather they are talking about the main city "hubs". In DX1, you had three such hubs - NY, Hongkong and Paris. So DX3 already has two more.

    As for the choice:

Shanghai - perfect. Can't have good cyberpunk without an asian theme, and Shanghai is pretty much an ideal choice here, as it's one of the most rapidly growing cities in the world.

Detroit - an industrialised Rust Belt city, with some cyberpunk tradition as well. We haven't seen any pics of the outdoor areas there yet, but the architecture has been described as fortress-like. Sounds fitting for the setting.

Montreal - don't know much about it, but it's a good choice since the devs are familiar with the city and can probably convey its atmosphere in an interesting way. A large theme in the DX3 version seems to be renewable energy, which is a fine topic choice for a near-future game.

Double post, but hey, it's a completely different topic:

I just got a crazy idea about the fireplace pic. There's a large tank of some sort. In a mansion of some sort. Now what does that remind you of?

    Lucius DeBeers by chance?

Entry can be also translated by Entrance. And Restaurant...well it's a restaurant.

Maybe this is a French Quartier...It's strange to see that France is used as a CP place. It's not that Cyberpunk...

These concept art is pretty cool. The arms and joints remind me of the first Deus Ex with the agents with all the exposed metal and wires.

Please. Don't say things like that. Please...
Apparently there are people who think the best way to make
a prequel is to contradict the thing to which it is a prequel.

I dunno dude. I'm with SpecOp. The concept art for the augs looks pretty baller to me. Slightly sexier than what was shown in DX1, true, but we're working with slightly sexier engines nowadays.

I realize you're worried about it conflicting with DX1, but I just think that had ISA access to an engine like this one, they might have done something similar with the older augmented agents (ie Hermann). The "wall-smasher" or "skull-crusher" or whatever people are concerned about doesn't seem out of place for a breed of agents who have pistons built into their forearms. Or guns in their skuls, for that matter.

The whole point (or one of them) of nano-agents was to have the same capabilities as the older cyborg ones, but without the machinery, right? So I don't think this is totally out of line with what we saw in DX1. What we have her is the height of cyborg augs, rendered with a modern-day engine and a slightly different artistic direction.

Of course other aspects of what we know concern me, but I'm fine with what we've been shown for augs thus far. Pretty intrigued, actually. I also just don't see the point in a constant stream of negativity. I'm happy to have ANY info on the game.

Also, am I the only person who thinks the tentacle art looks f-ing BADASS?

    Wink

This is Saint Catherine street, I'm positive I was at this exact spot a few days ago and I noticed the hairstyle on top of the Burger King.
