The "boss/enemy dude's" name is Barrett. There's also another concept of him:

![]() Rene suggested it be made a sticky too, but not sure if he meant now or later... ___ Now I must ask, but does anyone have any theories about the belt buckle that Barrett is wearing? ![]() I know it could be just a personal item of clothing... but I'm figuring it could be part of the standard uniform. If the latter, then I assume that Bull head might have some symbolism? Many ancient cultures used the bull as some form of idol but I'm trying to stick to Greek mythology and the connection with Dedalos/Daedalus (inventor, and architect of the Knossos palace) and his son, Ikaros/Icarus. These two names we are already familiar with...

![]() Speaking of which, I think it'd be fun if they include future history books among the reading material in the game... |

And as to your theory about "002" meaning something, I think it means they're trying desperately to make the game even half as good as the second installment of the Deus Ex series. It's the one to beat, of course.

"Taurus" is a common name for security companies. I'm not sure where this is derived from, but probably from the Minotaur again (guardian of the labyrinth).
Or, it might be a reference to the golden bull Moses finds his people worshiping when he returns from the mountain after receiving the Commandments. Now, this again might be linked to the "religion against augs" trope. Oh, and about the "002", probably means nothing, since there's another pic of the same general location with "003" instead, probably just sections of the building. |

Interesting theories on the bull symbolism, thank you all.
![]() Oh, yeah, you're right about those numbers, thanks. *Goes to edit out what I suggested...*

Yeah, that's more than likely, but if anyone's ever read the short-story, "The Barber", it features a character who is... Well, a barber, first and foremost, but is also secretly part of a rebellion in Spain. One day, a captain (AKA, an enemy) comes in and asks for nothing more than a haircut. The captain's name is Taurus (Or perhaps Del Toro, it's been a little while since I read it. In either case, his name translates to "The Bull"). While he's shaving the captain's beard, he considers if he should simply push in on the razor (and kill a high-ranking enemy) or just give the man a shave and hope that he doesn't know he's a rebel. He eventually cuts the captain's beard, without killing him, deciding that he probably has troops stationed outside. And in a surprise twist, the man, described as a monster by the rebels, tips generously and walks out to the street, where there's no units protecting him (as in, he relied upon the belief that the barber was a good man).
Upon writing this, I've come to notice that this seems like an opposing introduction to Deus Ex, as in Deus Ex you always start out on the side of the government, and have the option to join the rebels. In this story, you start out on the side of the rebels, and have the option to join the government. I'm probably over-analyzing the connection, just seemed notable to me, that's all.
