Well Eric Lindstrom stated in an interview that levels will (for the first look) seem like Legend but the length will be like Anniversary like visiting many areas in a certain location but it will be like Legend when there are no loading screens between different areas in the same location

7 locations is actually MORE than we've seen in any previous TR game.

TR1 had 4 locations: Peru, Greece, Egypt, Atlantis
TR2: I can't remember-- haven't played it in ages
TR3: 5 locations: India, Nevada, South Pacific, London, Antarctica
TR4: 2 locations: Cambodia, Egypt
TR5: 4 locations: Rome, Submarine, Ireland, VCI Towers
AOD: Can't really remember clearly
Legend: 5 locations Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Nepal, England

So I'm not at all upset about 7 locations. We just need to wait and see how big all the locations are.

I was like you when I realised the location count, but really, as Mangar pointed out, that doesn't have to mean 7 levels. And of course the locations could be huge, so that would make up any differences. We've already been told TRU is longer than TRL in gameplay length, and that is what matters.

Yes, Ghana and Kazakhstan are missing. Legend had 7 different locations.

AOD only featured Paris and Prague, as far as I remember.

TR2 didn't segment locations as the others did, but from memory: China, Italy, the oil platform and seabottom somewhere on the Atlantic Sea, then Tibet. I think there may have been others, though.

TRL didn't had ANY locations, those were levels, not locations.

Pardon me? Where were those "levels" set, if they weren't "locations" then?

I agree with all of you guys!!! TRL was extremely short and could be completed in 2 days the most. That's the only drawback... Hopefully, TRU will be much longer...

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't call seven locations "ONLY" seven locations.

yeah might be something like, 7 locations spanning several different levels, if you know what i mean.

Like Rexie said earlier, one location spawning off certain levels and such

TR:L levels were both "levels" AND "locations"... BOTH.

TR1 had 15 levels, but only 4 locations.
Legend only had 7 levels, ironically so, they all take place in different locations.
It seems as though TRU will follow the same style......though i'm not particularly thrilled about that.

More than the number of locations; I am hoping for more interactivity with the environment; reason why the inclusion of more free-walls is exciting.

Simply put, I wish the game is less linear, regardless of the given tasks. Yes, we'll have a goal to reach but many roads could lead us to it.

It would be a shame to have such great locations and detailed environments, just to find a one way path to the next step. I want to be able to replay a level, interact with the environment and find new ways to reach the goals.

It would bring the re-playability factor to the top of the chart.

What do you guys think?

*Hey, it doesnt hurt to wish!

Think it was stated you can roam anywhere you want in TRU in the enviroments and there is multiple ways(at least two i think they said) to get through a certain obstacle/puzzle so you dont have to just take one path.

Well natebrooks, I am overly pleased about that.
A new location for each level just shines with variability.
Underworld will be EPIC from start to finish.
I have full faith in CD, they WILL deliver.

I am glad to hear that Josh.

On that popular demo-video of Lara in Thailand. She jumps off her yatch to find a way to climb up the rock walls; and every time I've seen it, I've seen players swim around only to take the same path; and I could but wonder, are there any other ways to get there?

Unless, there is only ONE video and that's why we havent seen a variation, that could be.

*Regardless of it, I am all over Underworld. I am just excited about the possibilities. I cannot wait.
