Yes, for those of you who keep running into a DEP (Data Execution Prevention) error when trying to run Thief: DS, this should solve your problem.
Open commandoprompt (either through start>run or through the exe itself) Once commandoprompt is up, type: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff And reboot. Voila! [Edit] It should be noted that this turns off the protection for windows processes, so I would advice you to have a realtime scanning antivirus program. I've tried the dos command, but it won't accept the command.
If it makes a difference I am running Home Premium.... Anyone know where to find a legit copy of XP? |

Fry's Electronics and many other outlets sell full editions of Home, Pro, and the Upgrades.
In our area Pro is selling for about $150.00 and the upgrade for about $50.00. Google is your friend. Many online sites are also offering it. |
