In 2005 a game developer called Mithis entertainment went bankrupt, they were working on the title called Battlestations: Midway and had previously made Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. Eidos bought it out and I wondered if they bought out the rights to the Black Sun Engine that powered Nexus too.
We're a bunch of fans from the Nexus: The Jupiter Incident forum wondering where our beloved Black Sun Engine went after the bankruptcy of Mithis. |

Ah yes, Nexus. I only ever played the demo. Its always been seen as a sort of spiritual successor to Imperium Galatica 2. However I dont think it is because IMHO i loved IG2 way more.
I heard that Mithis want dead. The only developer big in Hungary (where I think Mithis was based) is Eidos Hungary which obviously makes the BattleStations series. I checked out the Nexus forum, seems good. I just hope one day we get an IG3 from who-ever.

I think it really could have worked as either the same type of play or maybe going as a RTS.

as long as it is story driven. And perhaps multi choice missions and endings like those in colony wars series
