I used to have a suspicion that she was real, but was being concealed by government superiors, because of the mysterious mythology of her adventures - which they thought may make people denie science as the real truth...

I don't believe lara is a real person but sometimes i talk like she is.
Lara can not be a person in the flesh but all the fans all over the world makes her someone special, real or not. There is a little bit of Lara in every person who plays "her" games and enjoy it.

Lara who we know as archeologist does not exist. But the person Lara Croft exist, person who have ordinary life. (i saw in phone book in video creating lara croft)

I was going to say they have full scale characters models you can purchase or blowup dolls you can believe she is real! Really when I play the game I get caught up in the character and believe she is real! myself!

The Lara Croft from the phone book is real, I'll give you that, and she is the original ~ she got there first. The Tomb Raider creators just stole her name! (as for whether she is a famous archaeologist/adventurer, I doubt it; she's probably an office temp or something.

The game character from the franchise that we manipulate to achieve our goal of passing the level in game is just a load of pixels that are put together and look nice.

Parents have been lying about Santy Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fary because we can't SEE them and the very young children were easily impressionable to believe in the lie.
So once the truth is revealed, children realize how sick and twisted their parents were. <~ It all began with this ! Then parents wonder and are surprised by their children lying to them down the road. :: Groaning Sigh ::

There's no way parents will deny their children by saying Lara Croft isn't real because the proof is in video game format.
We join her in the games and into her adventures. So If you want to stretch it, she's technologically real.

Children know video game characters like cartoon characters are fictional but at least the Security of Truth is there in that they exist in their "own worlds."



I know I could somehow make it into a concise joke but I couldn't crack one.

Obviously this post made no sense and became a peculiar rant instead.

Lara is SOMEONE (not something) who lives within us, she's real within us, in our minds in our lives and u ask : can u see her ? yeah we can , she's there, always there, she's an amazing woman (not talkin emotionally n sexually) but as someone who always had a big effect over our lives (if u were a true fan u'd feel so)

i don't wanna be so serious n logical n say she's just pixels n colors, maybe she started this way but now she has a much bigger value than just a program.

i feel like i have so much of her character (NOT IMITATION) truth, i do feel like her

If you meant realistic, then yes, she does look more realistic in Underworld.
