Speaking of plot twists. Swedish detective movies. No wonder they fail to catch the serial killer every time, those guys are idiots. "Oh, an ambush at a local cafe. Better tell everyone we are police, just in case the serial killer is actually a customer next to you."

All people in all movies are idiots. It's quite sad.

Nobody in the movies has ever read a book or even seen a movie in their lives while the villains are classically trained and Genre Savvy.

If people in movies knew about movies there would be infinite movie-ception.

That's insane.

Also Canadian, but generally too polite to make a big deal out of it.

WHAT.

What is this. Super Best Friends? No seriously, is anyone else enthralled by Game of Thrones?

GoT is quite awesome. Surprisingly violent too for a TV show.

You don't see that many... but perhaps your selective memory is kicking in.

I've started watching "Alcatraz" too... and I like it!

If they're in every episode, they're everywhere. And they're totally in every episode.

Haha! But every episode shows us so much more of everything else... so I never really noticed.

It's HBO. I don't think anything they do phases me after seeing Oz, Deadwood, or The Wire. Friends told me it was better to just start watching than to read the story first. The show has its own pacing and gets enough of it right (so they tell me).

It's a little awkward watching it with your family though. Especially when there's incest on screen.

I once put an episode of The Wire on when I was at home with my parents over christmas. She didn't like the swearing at all.

The scene in the gay bar, with hardcore porn playing on screens in the background, was even more awkward.

I didn't watch The Wire with my parents again after that.

I've managed to get my Mum in to Game of Thrones. Pretty awkward.

I'll have to wait till the new series comes out on DVD to watch it. Any good so far?

My mom already read all the Song of Ice and Fire books so she already knows everything that's going on. I've been trying to enable her to watch it but we don't have HBO or On Demand and would you believe that the game consoles are pretty much the only media device that allows you to plug in a USB drive and play media off of there?

I just finished watching the first episode of Game of Thrones, the Queen's brother is such a bastard (In a non-literal sense). I thought it was quite amusing until I realised he was uh, doing things, with his sister.
