Because they are trying to take over the world! We were lucky to stop this one so soon, but next time, we might not be so fortunate!

It helps to know their killphrases too. Saves a lot of fighting that way...

Hey everyone! My name is Wes, I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I love to game and love anything military. Super stoked for DX:HR, as I absolutely loved DX. It's great to see such an active community.

Pre loading is good, places like the Detroit Hub are expansive and detailed but split into two distinct areas connected by a metro station. It appears to serve as a buffer to load the other areas, there is also a sewer system and a shorter crawl space between. I think it works like the bridges in GTA, you don't really notice them, not like the mass effect elevators or anything (though there are some long elevator rides but they seem to have uplink conversations or the like going on. If you die however you can be waiting forever to get back in the game. So just be really good at the game and you'll be fine.

I like localised damage because it is real. Simple as. If I up and shoot an AI in the foot I want him to hit the deck in pain, but my error should be punished. People will notice, they'll hear and be alerted to his scream. As it stands the sniper rifle is powerful enough to deplete all his HP regardless of where he is shot. Considering they removed the skill system and justified it by saying 'your own skill with a weapon is key, you are Jensen so he has your skills', I would have expected a reward for being a good shot and a punishment for being a piss poor shot. Equally if I want to shoot someone in the leg as a tactic say then I should be able to. I don'y mind too much about Jensen's healing, hobbled performance, vision and wonky aim would be nice as temporary hindrance as he heals. Like his augs had been disrupted with the force.
Again the MGS wound system is fantastic, it's real, it's fun as hell and it is very rewarding. Some middle ground could have been forged here and it wouldn't have alienated any new gamers who undoubtedly are going to be MGS fans anyway, because it's that kind of game. You like one you'll like the other, they will draw some parallels here.
All that said, you shoot them in the leg with a less powerful weapon then the do sometimes fall, they get back up and are as good as new after a time which is nice and they occasionally react to a shoulder shot which stuns them a bit. I think it'll pan out all right overall and playing it you wont miss it too badly. I will miss the health and bioelectric robots this style negates though. They were like your little port in a storm when you found one.

I don't watch much TV but last night I saw the HR commercial twice in less than an hour. I didn't even know the game had a commercial, how long has it been out?

"Estimated that side quests will add around 15 hours to the game" from rpgfan twitter

"According to Lapikas, each of the multiple endings are distinct, but all of them allow for the setup of the original Deus Ex." - according to worthplaying. This is nice!

Alright, there's two of us! Time to take over! You can be my Rene-replacement. He's the only other person to know what it was like to have a bad Hockey team that always manages to get to Stanley cup play-offs (Toronto doesn't count as they're simply insane).

Erm, I wasn't sure where to exactly talk about this so I decided to come here.

I recently saw a new video from Major Nelson. Pretty much the Xbox LIVE Ambassador himself. Anyway, in this video it showed some game play directly from the game, it entails some of the beginning, generally the attack on Sarif Industries.

Not sure if this is considered a spoiler or not since you all may know this already, but for those that don't I will protect the following with SPOILER tags:

That's my thoughts on that though. From what I've seen anyway.

I would rather take being repeatedly punched in the genitals than your fly-by-night credit card!

Ah, Family Guy... I feel dishonored that I remembered a scene from that series. lol
