What do you guys think of the London riots? In your opinion why did it escalate and what can be done to prevent further incidents occurring? I will say that I dislike the fact the UK government sticks its nose into affairs in the middle east when they have deep seated problems that need addressing in their own back yark.

The London Riots were motivated by many years of festering criminality and unemployment and criminality in ethnically homegenous enclaves, coupled with a government too blitheringly incompetent to even give a pretence at sorting it out, coupled with a discredited police force which has just lost its head honcho due to corruption allegations. It's not a pretty picture, and it will get worse for as long as the austerity drive continues and there is no plausible growth plan.

Ouch. Point taken.

(As if you could do anything similar across the entire US; highways and cars define the infrastructure)

Hi All ! just saw this on BBC, you gotta check this out. Remember the 'news' on the Sarif industries site? The story about the runner?
*checks this guys outfit for a 'Sarif' logo...

"Oscar Pistorius will become the first amputee athlete to compete at the able-bodied World Championships, after being named in South Africa's squad." -BBC

Didn't they already establish that runners on carbon fiber legs are going to outpace traditional runners, and that's why they're banned from the able-bodied olympics? Seems World Championships didn't get the memo.

So what's the point of athletics again? If performance enhancing technology is allowed in like this, then why not legalize all forms of doping & gadgetry? Very strange move, indeed.

She's just a mean, mean lady. You can ask anyone here. They'll testify to it, unless they're cowering in fear.

Welcome DjVelho and Liquid!

Default Few questions

few questions about dxhr.
1. can you see the stats/specs of a weapon. damage, range, desciption ect
2. speed enhancement- can you increase your jumping ability?
3. do the weapon mod boxes you find look good? in deus ex i found em really sexy. weird? maybe
4. were you satisfied with secret areas? in comparison to say the snipers nest you can get to from jocks apartment, the vent with the steath pistol & credits in the elevator shaft that takes you to jocks apartment & the collapsed tunnel with the dead scientist & karkians.

thanks

already sent you a PM, but..

1. Yes.
2. Yes, but I think there's only one rank to it. I recall reading they had changed it so you need to invest in another leg aug before you can get the jump aug.
3. That's subjective, but there are weapon mod boxes at least.
4. Sort of. You do have to use icarus, jump or strength aug to reach some places, and there's a lot of places that are hard to find. Haven't really come across anything like the collapsed tunnel though.

I wonder if taps and toilets in dxhr can be interacted with like in dx1 or are they just for show?

Also, these riots are becoming genuinely scary.

Thumbs up I did a bad thing, for good reasons. Dont SUE me!

I am hoping the developers or moderators don't take this down, though there is a very decent chance they might.

This is a TL/DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) post.

After I write this, I will not respond to anyone, at all, about anything, if the first person asks me how to get this, if you are educated enough to get it (which will require you to get about three or four viruses, same amount of formats (wiping your hard drive) and willing to take the legal risk. Then go ahead.

I will answer questions, and after Deus Ex: Invisible War, I am ti-totally unbiased.......

Deus Ex: Human Revolution 'Demo' (Totally not official, and never meant to be public.)

To the developers first.

[B]Above all and 120%. You all have captured the absolute awe-inspiring greatness of the original Deus Ex. KUDOS.[B]

Now that being said and this being an alpha/beta build.

First the obvious:

1: Strafing increases your speed slightly and should be addressed.
2: Enemy awareness is slightly offset, their "FOV" should be about five degrees wider (as in the original Deus Ex).
3: Mouse scaling is a slight bit off, "focusing" in on a distant enemy is VERY Very slightly difficult with an assault rifle.

I couldn't find anything else.. at all...... You guys make a beta that surpasses a full release from other companies...

Now to the fans and those anticipating the game. You Will Not Be Disappointed, at all.

This game captures every single solitary aspect I could find from Deus Ex. I even re-installed the game and good God that mod "new vision" is awesome if you have a DX10 card. The story telling and voice acting of Deus Ex Human Revolution (thus I've seen) is so absolutely superb. The graphics, even for my lower end machine, are AMAZING and very detailed with no latency. The art director and anyone pertaining to artistics in that game should be involved in every single game that Eidos produces... In it's entirety. Forever. They capture every moment of that game and you feel so incredibly immersed it is unbelievable.

The movement and the feel you expect from a FPS in modern days, EG: MW, MW2, Black Ops, BFBC2, Bulletstorm. This game has it. This title has such a phenominal feel that if they do not add a multiplayer, I will personally create this mod. I have never played a game that has such a 'feel like im doing it' movement... While I was hiding, I did not feel like I was hiding a character in a video game, I felt like I was hiding.. While I was firing, I felt like I was shooting the dudes and those humaniod thingies. I cannot express enough that this game is completely immersive, an EXTREME amount more so than Deus Ex.

Since I have been reading this forums, I have many times seen people complain about Deus Ex Invisible War. I am telling you right now, this game is totally different. I watched youtube trailers and seen some of the stabbing animatons and was like "eh? what the hell?" .... Now that I have EXECUTED them... Man it was so amazing... You are sneaking past the guys, picking the path you chose to go, obtaining items that were along that path you decided to go because you 'out-thought' the enemy. Then feeling that moment of victory as you smash your blades into them. Epic. Purely Epic. This being the only one aspect that I was so completely impressed with that I honestly can't believe could be portrayed through video.

Those who are waiting for it, it is very close, and my God I cannot wait.

As I said before, I will answer questions until the first person asks me how to get it. Then I stop.
