Default Hopefully Keir Responds

I just read the same article and jumped over here to see if there was anymore news. Hopefully Keir still has a job.

Heck this had better not include Keir. Keir has been doing a great job especially considering that he has to handle all the Eidos games.

I don't think so.

A. He's been doing a solid job
B. He hasn't been demoted from admin yet.

True. Or maybe... they're going to be jerks and send Keir a letter saying he's been fired with an invite to the Jelly of the Month Club. (Please, somebody get that joke.)

But I do hope that you're right. Seeing Keir go would make me cry... In a manly way of course.

I hope not since Keir has done a lot for the forums. But the article isn't clear whether the lay off of the pr etc departments are in the US or UK or both. My guess would be US though since that seemed where WB wanted to do distribution.

The article says the entire PR, marketing etc have been laid off. If we don't hear from Keir soon then I'm going to be worried

You guys worry too much. After coming back from vacation walking into this news on top of his normal duties I will lay odds he is , ATM, swamped.

Besides if anything happened you don't think with everything he had going on he would not have come in here and said something or at least alerted the mods?

Good, I'm glad you would understand.

But I never thought about that. He probably has a lot of work to do at the moment. And using logic, I think he would have alerted somebody to spread the news.

From what I've seen of Eidos, he would have got a non-disclosure agreement to sign along with his last pay check.

Yeah, this worries me some. If Keir got laid off, the entire Battlestations community would suffer greatly....Not to mention the profound effect it could have on BSP.

Look, this is just marketing. Eidos needs some cash, makes shares, WB buys them but wants a little control, which is the PR dept for N. America. Hitman, Tomb and Battlestations aren't going anywhere and neither are the devs.

He's still on MSN on his Eidos account, firstly, secondly he hasn't been demoted from admin yet, and thirdly he's been doing a good job. Besides, he's a solid guy; I'm sure he's more than capable of handling whatever stuff Eidos throws at him.

Thanks for your support guys :* )

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! Confirms that the Battlestations community is clearly the most intelligent and best to work with

Yeah, as per Chip's link above, Eidos can't get rid of me that easily and in actual fact I've managed to land a really cool role which is the job I wanted

It'll mean that once the dust settles (which will probably be a few months) I should actually have more time to devote to Battlestations because I won't be in the trenches as much for all our other titles.

So anyway, thanks again
