What on earth are you talking about?? Raziel's story may have come full circle (although we still know almost nothing of his days as a vampire) but Kain's is far from it. He's just now discovered the Elder God, and just been equipped with the weapon to defeat him. His destiny is still derailed, and the future barren world of Soul Reaver 1 will still come about. In essence, he hasn't completed any of his main objectives, and he is just beginning to understand the forces that he's truly up against.

And before anyone goes crying about it: I don't believe that the tiny fight you had against the Elder God at the end of Defiance was nearly enough to kill the guy. He's huge, you attacked roughly 1/50th of him, and to be honest the battle was pretty easy. I just don't feel like he gave it his all, and I'm convinced that the damage done was minuscule at best.

Well.. here's another two people hoping for a new game to be released- especially with the new gaming systems out on the market. My fiancee was 17 when he started playing these games and has recently introduced me into the oh so interesting world of the LoK series.. Though it may or may not be reasonable to have hope in them at least creating one final game to finish the series, and let us all know how it may end- hope is stubborn, and at least for us, it's still burning bright.

Keeping eyes peeled, and ears open for any word on them even hinting perhaps another game- to those of you waiting along side the rest of us.. Keep poking them They'll eventually get tired of us, and want to shut us up if anything

Yes a new game would be great, and god knows i wouldnt put the controller down till the game was done work the next day or not, but hell after defiance, i looked for novels ffs, i want to go more in depth in the story line idc if its a game or a novel or what eidos does, i just want more of the story, nere the end it seemed like raziel and kain were more like brothers, but theres 2 nere ancient races we know almost nothing about except that they are 1. waring, and 2.ancient (sorry bad spelling) and 3. have 1 champion each(or so were told) and wth happens with kain? raziel sacrificed himself for kain and what happens to kain now? we dont know. and what about raziel, can destiny still be altered, i mean, would it be impossible to create anouther paradox to bring him back? i mean they created one that completely changed history, and one that completely change the future. i think its possible *sigh* anyway moral of the story, i want more story HAH

I said in another topic, that they should remake them into a Trilogy. Too soon for new people to add to the story. But if they remade them, got used to that world, then what they add later would be much mroe wisely conceived.

Trilogy? There's 5 games by my count lol But I agree that there should be some sort of a grand re-release at some point. I honestly don't even think they'd need to edit content, perhaps just throw in an extra disk filled with special features...

I meant like a "Soul Reaver" Trilogy, and a "Blood Omen" Set or something. But keep the 2 separate to maintain the flow if each story, and it would be worth while.

Rather arrogant. For another title, they would have to re-adapt to that which exists already. The story line is very fragile, with all the twists involved. They have a lot to consider before taking another step. They don't want to end up retconning something unintended. That would hurt the fan base.

Kain is at a pretty interesting point after defiance. There could be still much to come. Raziels story is told his destiny is kinda fulfilled (even if I dont want this^^) and there could be so much new stuff. But if they make a new one, I want it with the soul and the depth of the previous games cuz many PS3 games are cool but there is no soul. If they re bot able to do that they should leave it.

I cant believe they're still working on Tomb Raider **ap. Just Cause 2 is good, Hitman series are good, Kane & Lynch series are good, Deus Ex is excellent. Legacy of Kain is great but there is no sequel. Something is definately wrong at Eidos. Guyz I've given up on a new Legacy of Kain game. We've been wasting time here since 2003 asking for a new LOK game.

Do whatever you must. Patience would assist better. Without Amy, they have lost a key Soul Reaver writer. So the better way for anyone to do the sequel is to remake the games and get that feel back. Then they would be able to expand. The foundation would then be familiar.

and for me, for me, a game with no story its not a game.
and the legacy of kain have a big story, the people, the group who create it. create with love, with passion.. with heartiness.
The story of kain and raziel, its not finished yet. Eidos, please make at least one game, the game what will close this serie with a golden key, when kain and raziel will finally find their final.

tetris is gone. has anothers games.

An RPG is different than labeling all games. RPGs, by default, are character-driven games. However, an RPG isn't the only genre of video game. It's only one in a myriad of gaming genres, still very much alive and well today...

The point that stories being told in games have become more and more complex and rich over the decades in the genres that incorporate them is valid and I agree we need more of that type. I love a great story in a video game, and Legacy of Kain is the cream of the crop.

I don't know if a game needs a story to be worth playing. It's a plus, yes (I'm currently getting a kick out of Final Fantasy 13) but I also adore Mariokart for the SNES. No story to speak of, but it's still incredible, straightforward, honest to God fun to play, especially in multiplayer.

Of course a game needs a story. Except of those casual games its really a need. It mustnt be as deep as LoK or MGS or something but there must be a reason too buy it or would you buy a game thats described with you play character who runs around with a sword and kills people???
