Story questions & ponderings for #IV (please God)

OK, call me totally thick, but what exactly happened in the last cutsene? I placed the eye, then I saw a "young" Garrett. Did the final glyph revert time, or undo everything that has happened in the first two games? Would that make Garrett the, what was it called in the game... the "Supreme Keeper" or something like that.

What about that kid... could this be 1) a way to get away from Garrett as thief or 2) like the Matrix where a new Keeper group rises out of the distruction of the old. what do you think?

it seems like they left it open for a sequel, that Garrett could train a new era of Thieves/Keepers. I can't tell if that glyph actually destroyed the parts of the city it ran through though, if that happened there would be a lot of dead peope lol

Pretty sure the glyph only wiped out Keeper rune magics....although I suspect that Garrett, being titled the 'True Keeper' by the prophecies, likely still has full use of rune magics (maybe even far more so than he did prior).

Maybe the main character in this sequel will be the little boy/girl. I am fine with that. The story has to eventually evolve or stagnate.

It would be cool though if they throw in a few missions with Garrett the mentor as the playable character (complete with rune magics that he can use to help accomplish his mission).

the main playable character will most likly be garrett, and on some missions you probably have the apprentice girl as an AI controled character. perhaps there will also be co-op where 2 people can play missions as garrett and her.

That was not a young Garrett in the TDS final movie, it was a girl whom he caught and who could see him, which is a direct reference to the opening cutscene of Thief 1. I think it is very unlikely that the player character in T4 will be Garrett, although it is likely he will make a cameo or two, or even be the PC's mentor.

This has all been discussed ad nauseam at TTLG, by the way.

ummm buddy? i already know all that. i already said the words: "the apprentice girl" and i actully think that the main character will be garrett again, with garrett's apprentice as a secondary character... because i mean seriously, who wants to play a thief game if your not the masterthief garrett?

or the girl was just to show that Garrett was still a Keeper. (i think, the other keepers lost there powers when "it" when off)

Then Garrett can live on as the main guy,YaY!
