Default Tomb Raider Ride in Toronto?

My brother in Toronto told me there is a Tomb Raider Ride in a theme park called Wonderland. Can any one confirm this? Cause I'm gonna go up there Next Year. Is it awesome?

I recall reading briefly in an article regarding this. I researched it and found this out but it's not the one I read.
Tomb Raider: The Ride

Now, as it says, TR Ride ended(?) in 2007 and they have a new ride called Time Warp. Or maybe it's a rename. I'm not sure.

There's also video footage of the TR Ride.
TR: The Ride (Roller Coaster)
Gotta love YouTube !

ETA: I found the official site here ~ Canada's Wonderland - Thrill Rides

Unfortunately, it doesn't list TR Ride so it must have been replaced by Time Warp.

That's so strange to have limited engagement for an amusement park ride.

Maybe if they added as an extension in a Great Adventure park somewhere in Canada it would have been permanent.

I think they only had the rights to use the name for a couple of years. At any rate, it's a shame -- I hoped to bring all of them Tomb Raider rides over to my backyard at some point.

Thanks for the link to the video, NRNR. I've never seen a roller coaster quite like that before.

If you're financially at the level of the King of Pop of all time, you'd definitely be able to afford it.

The news I've read about was about TR Ride was a few months ago. Probably in December of last year but I'm not sure. In any case, that's depressing a bit that it's only licensed for a short term. It's kind of like these recent "limited exclusivities" in for certain new games.

My father told me that when I was a child, I've been to Great Adventure but I don't recall any of that. I do remember vividly riding a roller coaster and fearing for my life because it felt like I would be thrown off violently from the car. It literally traumatized me so I've never ridden another ever since that time. I have acrophobia so... I'd rather not.

Ruum Taedor ~ No problem.

I've been on a few roller coasters in my time but I was really exited about that one. I was so looking forward to it.

Man that ride is ancient, it was around in 2001 when the film came out. I think it ended shortly after the second film in 2004.

Good times in Wonderland though.

That's why Great Adventure parks should have bought the license for use like they have with Batman: The Ride.
Point being maybe they could have kept it longer.
Question: Does Batman: The Ride still exist or was it replaced ?

[ I personally don't know because I've never returned to Great Adventure for many years so that's the reason for asking. ]

I would love to go to the King Island ride Normally I wouldn't be caught dead on a ride like that but I'd brave it for Lara and be called a tombraider.
