Question Does Anyone Here Watch LOST?

Since it's on tonight (in the UK at least), I thought I'd bring the subject up. So, who here watches LOST, and if you do, what do you think of it? Any interesting opinions or theories on this amazing show?

Here's a summary of tonight's coming episode:

^ Sounds Exciting!

Let the discussion begin.

No offense but I never became interested in Lost and I have no clue why.

( Although, I absolutely loved J.J. Abrams's show directly before called Alias. )

I watch LOST Dukem. And I flippin' flippin' love it
I've got the first three seasons on DVD and I get the American broadcasts of season four's episodes off the net a couple of days before Sky airs them over here ().

Frightened to start talking about it though, I know I'll get into one and won't be able to stop

The reason for not having interest in Lost, I guess, was after watching the first season of Survivor reality show, I was just detached to the idea of a dramatized version even though it's not exactly like Survivor. Did I like Survivor ? A little bit, but then I moved on.

~~~
PaulRaider ~
Initially, I really wasn't into Heroes because I never knew anything about it so I never watched the first 10 eps in their original airings. But when I found out that I could watch the episodes online for free in December of 2006, I was caught up from the beginning and was instantly hooked like Alias. I continued watching the following eps after the Heroes hiatus because NBC (the original US network) uploaded the eps the following day after they've been aired on TV.
So, yes, it's my favorite show. Plus, it was created by Tim Kring who created a great show called Crossing Jordan.
I loved Alias instantly because let me just say that since TR III, Lara Croft was the primary serious kick-butt female character, it set a path of interest in me loving female characters in TV shows, movies, and video games definitely. So, watching from its first episode, where the character, Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) kicked butt, I absolutely loved it. Of course, the storyline was amazingly well written in the first two seasons. Then they botched seasons three to five.
Enjoy it while it lasts though people. Last time I heard, there's only two more episodes left. Because of the flipping writer's strike late last year.
Bloody writers
But at least with "The Other Woman" (episode six) the links between the series and the book "Bad Twin" have been solidified somewhat. I was starting to think that the book was completely superfluous.
Yay for all the LOST lovers!
@ Spong
Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about the writer's strike affecting the series either. *sigh* But at least it's over now, i suppose.
@crazyhorse128
I know, I love that too! I also like how they tie in the Sci-Fi stuff with supernatural elements.
Well it's over and the writers did say they were back to writing, I believe?! But it will be long, as for Prison Break also, it stopped at E13?!!!?!?
@Crazyhorse128
That's not what I've read. The final three seasons of LOST (taking us up to the story's finale) are apparently only going to be something like sixteen episodes each, which is a drop of eight episodes in comparison to seasons one to three's twenty-four episodes.
Anyway, I just watched episode seven ("Ji Yeon") this morning. Not gonna spoil it for the other Brits who have to wait until Sunday night to see it. All I will say is this...
I'm gutted I edited my initial post in this thread. I originally asked a question concerning one of the characters, and that finally got answered in this episode.
I knew, I'm telling you, I just knew...
i read on lostpedia, that the writers are going to add the episodes that were canceled onto the next season, as to avoid a confusion with a premature finish
I've checked the Lostpedia page and, although it says exactly as you state, it's got that "pedia" extension that makes me cynical about everything I read there.
What I read came from USAToday's site, but it was back before season four started and I can't find it any more.
So, you win by default
Yep, I've seen it
But who's really Benjamin's spy? Is it the person you mentioned, or is it...someone else?
Think on...
Okay, so now I'm confused
I thought season 4 of LOST was over. So why am I seeing adverts for a continuation?
I went to ABC's LOST website tonight and apparently the next episode airs on 24th April.
What's going on?
Spong ~ Due to the writers' strike, some shows only aired up to a certain point and will be brought back to finish the season like in this case, Lost. Whereas other shows, before the pending strike, the crew went through re-writes to finish the season.
I know you don't want to hear about this. LOL. But as an example, for Heroes, I read online that they had to quickly scramble and finish the second season and even though it was unfortunate that the season was about ten episodes short, (normal season has 22 to 24) they tied up lose ends. I'm glad they did close the season before the strike and had not left us wondering. Originally, months before season 2 began, they stated that there would be kind of a spin-off from Heroes world called Heroes: Origins. So if there was no strike, the episodes could have stretched to about close to normal eps until the season ended properly and then, Origins would have aired. I'm still hoping it will.
Shows in the US like Desperate Housewives, Bones, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty, have or will return this month to finish their seasons. [Well, for Smallville, it seems like they're finishing the series ? Unsure. ]
Other shows like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Prison Break and a few others I can't recall now were already done with their seasons early this year because they only had a few episodes left to air.
No no, it's not that I don't get how the writer's strike effected the show. It's just that everywhere I looked, it was publicised that LOST season 4 only had 8 episodes. But now it's continuing. So how many more episodes are there? Does anyone know?
