Exit to desktop and freezing

Ok, here is my problem. I am either getting the game to freeze randomly where all I can do is hit the reset on my computer, or when I try to start the game, after the scenario starts to load, it exits to desktop. Here is my DXDIAG text:

...so you should download and install the current version from ATI.

Try here: www.ati.com/ and get the latest Win 9x/ME version for your Radeon card.

Don't forget to Follow the Instructions!!! to install video drivers...typically you must unsinstall the driver installed right now before installing a newer version.

With the SoundMAX audio chip, you should probably lower or disable hardware sound acceleration as well.

After updating your video card driver go to Start>Run>type dxdiag>Click OK>Look on Sound Tab>Set Hardware Sound Acceleration down to None, Basic or Standard instead of Full Acceleration. Exit the Tool, then try the game again.
