INstant crash...any advice?

after creating a new profile, and clicking on naval academy, the screen goes blue and freezes. that's it, game over.

i have windows xp home, a radeon 9550 and a pentium 4, 3ghz and directx 10


any advice from the lovely eidos forum folks?
