Hopefully in the second game, for the campain at least historic accuracy will be improved.

Mabee in the MP senarios will be different, but still d-day would remain piontless in this sort of game.

An Atlantic game would be great! As the British you'd be protecting convoys or hunting raiders and as the Germans you'd be the one doing the raiding, in massibe BB's like Bismarck!

The Pacific had more in the way of large scale battles though.

I'm kind of worried honestly that there won't be enough flying in the Atlantic. On the other hand, if you could do the Battle of Britain that'd really be nice...

where do you guys learn your history from?

Yes there was Convoys at the start of the battle.

The Germans attacked the convoys in the channel for two reasions

1 to gain experiance for there pilots
2) To probe the defences.

after a while the convoys were withdrawn from the channel and then the main part of the battle started. (radar and airfields became the target)

edit: this is in a time frame of weeks/months not days

There would be plenty of flying in an Atlantic game. You have anti sub patrols, bombing the german naval/sub bases, attacking the Tirptiz, Bismark, Konigsberg, the attacks on the channel dashers for the allies. The axis have convoy patrols, bombing missions around the battle for Norway, attacking channel shipping; there is of course plenty of scope for battles over the channel for both sides. And thats without including anything in the mediterreanian or the air battles over land.

a simple look around unlocks so much info but to cut it short.

British historians date the battle from 10 July to 31 October 1940, which represented the most intense period of daylight bombing

10 July–11 August: Kanalkampf, the Channel battles.
12 August–23 August: Adlerangriff, the early assault against the coastal airfields.
24 August–6 September: the Luftwaffe targets the airfields. The critical phase of the battle.
7 September onwards: the day attacks switch to British towns and cities

So is Sharp, and now me.... As Sharp says the Luftwaffe attacked coastal convoys in the channel to test the RAFs strength and wear it down on neutral territory (where pilots from either side had equal chances of being picked up after ditching compared to garanteed capture of the Luftwaffe pilots shot down over Britain).

Actually the convoy attacks were done by all major German bombers; JU87 & 88 dive bombers, He111s (possibly torpedo bombers but I don't think so) & Do17s.
