In order to perform the jump shown in the shortcut, you need to jump from the very edge. Run as far as you can and make sure that you're holding down the jump button (it'll make Lara jump farther).

FAQ -

Q: During the cutscene with T-Rex, Lara gets killed. What am I doing wrong?
A: If T-Rex is eating you during the cutscene, you're probably pressing the wrong buttons or pressing too late. Have your hints turned on and press the buttons appearing on the screen (e.g. left, right and etc) as soon as they appear, don't wait too long.
Q: I have my hints turned on but I still can't see the buttons on the screen, why?
A: Sadly, we have no solution for that, it's sort of a bug. Read about it in this thread.

Q: I shoot the Centaurs and they get stunned, but I still can't away their shield. What is wrong?
A: If you stun the Centaurs but can't take away their shield no matter how close you stand and how many times you try to throw grapple - You must've stunned them without using headshot. They can be stunned without headshot, but you won't be able to take away their shield.
Q: How can I perform a headshot?
A: Using adrenalin dodge. Scroll up and read the tutorial for adrenalin dodge under "Lara's Moves" section.

Q: I'm in the great pyramid and a human-like creature comes in. I try to shoot it but it keep shooting fireballs back at me and does everything same as me. How do I kill it?
A: The creature is Doppelganger, otherwise known as "Bacon Lara". It's an imitator and will do anything the same as you. You need to think of a creative way to kill it, without shooting it. If you're stuck, under "Boss Strategies" section (scroll up) there's a link to a youtube video, showing how to kill it. You can also read about it in the walkthrough guides posted above.

Translation Sites -

If you are having troubles and you don't understand english, here is a list of good translating sites. Please visit one of these sites, copy the english text and translate it to your native language. Also, if you are aware of any good "Tomb Raider: Anniversary" sites in your native language, please post them in this internet thread. We will make a special list of good "Tomb Raider: Anniversary" sites in each language, so it will help players who don't speak english very well.

Oh I saw plenty helpful videos on youtube, including that famous shortcut for the third platform (the one with the grapple, avoiding the poles). I'll add it later on today, thanks for the idea

Finally! No more POINTLESS HELP ME threads about the centaurs.
I didn't need ANY help in TRA. The centaur fight took me about 20 mins coz I didn't know about the shields until I saw the circle handle and guessed you needed to take it off them.

(I've been doing way too many C-code mods within some English/German software, while helping some GREAT Russians modders and also assisting them with certain Japanese titles, believe it or not.

So a VERY GOOD translator is a necessity, except with Japanese, which is like IMPOSSIBLE to still understand, even when it is translated.

You can download the fan guides on the top of that website, in the flash menu. You can download there a English and a Dutch walktrough with a nice design, but also interviews and other stuff. Double click on the icons and you get it...

Rita, I have seen all sorts of "translation tricks", even to the point of having little flags, like that Google Language Tools has. . . (These HTML tricks will actually have a return address, back to the original site, but then in the language of the visitor's choice.)

So, simply something like a list of translators sounds about right?

I'm very sorry Jim that it took me so long to reply. To be honest with you, I had to ask some help to understand what you mean -blushes-

I'm not sure if translating the text would be a good idea, because the russian translated line "Copy our address for these sites" is "Copies our address these sites", which doesn't make much sense, and I don't speak the other languages to know if they're understandable Anyway, how do I make a link to your reply?

Btw, what if we make a thread and ask for people who speak other languages to find us good sites? I can look for a good russian site with walkthrough guides and stuff, and someone could find good japanese sites and etc. This way instead of translating, one could visit a site in his language. What do you think?

(Folks visiting sites, with other languages, are probably used to their translation needs. . . So, simply providing a variety of translation sites might be all that is required, of us?) And those are the very best ones, that I know of, btw.
