Why does VMD 2.10 mess up..

I finally managed to install and play TR1 with Voodoo and VDM sound.

I had to install VDM version 2.10 but why does it mess up my pc?
If i start up my pc i get "System recoverd from fatal error", then you send the report to Microsoft. The internetbrowser opens on their website saying that i have to install the latest graphics driver for my pc ( i updated all my drivers a week ago, had no trouble then) or decrease the hardware acceleration of the video graphics manually. This happens 1 day after installing VDM 2.10.

If i uninstall VDM 2.10 it messes everything up and get a message that i have no anti-virus installed.
