Theres a 93' true story movie based on that idea starring John Cusack. It can ruin your life. I'd take it to the police and hope for a finders reward.

(That actually sort of happened to me after I had been married for 5 yrs. A girlfriend from the past called one day and after chatting for some time told me she would have married me if I had asked.)

My first thought which has been used by someone already is that I was still dreaming and I would struggle to wake up. If not then just scream resist and die.
