its not about looks its about the spirit and charecter.... actually i'd say probably now both angelina and Karima have that.... but angelina was Lara Croft in every sense. Just see the scene in TR1 with the ropes in the chandellier area

I think that Angelina Jolie looks kinda like the old tomb raiders, like tomb raider 2 or 3 or something like that. Karima Adebibe looks a lot like Legend Lara so its awesome, but i dont like how she looks with her new screenshot poses of Anniversary.

Before I saw this post I was about to say, if you doubt Angelina's incredible likeness to Lara Croft, take a look at the promo picture for the first movie and there it is already!!

It's so uncanny that I sometimes take that DVD off the shelf mistaking it for Angel of Darkness and vice versa.

It all depends on what version of Lara one refers to for her character changes dramatically as graphics improve but Angelina in the films (not necessarily in every day life or in other roles), is what I would perceive Lara Croft to look like in real life - even though her hair was darker.

I'm a perfectionist in many ways and as such I get so disgruntled when I see models posing as Lara and yet lacking the very basic resemblances. Even the models featured in the documentary Lethal and Loaded were not right.

The model who posed by the waterfall in that square had completely the wrong hair for a start - even though plaited it looked frizzy - as though it had been crimped beforehand!

In the two above pics of Karima, she looks more like Carmen Electra to me in the first shot and Victoria Beckham in the second
